I feel like everyone, excepting a vocal minority, appreciated Windwaker's art style for what it was: evocative and emotive. The professional world seems to agree, as the number of cell shaded games we saw afterwards increased noticeably.

The danger of listening to the few and the loud is that a professionally developed artistic vision can be compromised by uneducated members lacking the capacity to innovate.

I doubt many 25+ year olds are overly interested in some kids playing League.

Nintendo has done a pretty damn fine job making Zelda games to this point. Why start listening to the loudmouths of the internet now?

2nd the liquid cooling. It's a requirement with this CPU.

Loved Valkyria Chronicles. I was incredibly disappointed that the sequel didn't land on PS3.

One problem I've had with mod compilations is that the mods they contain get updated at different times (or not at all), which can cause compatibility issues.

It's kind of a metagame putting together your own package of mods. It is, after all, about customizing to your own tastes.

I must be missing something, because this just seems stupid.

But I don't get much that goes on in pop-culture these days.

2014 is the first game I skipped in a long, long time. But you're right, it has been the slightly better Gary Thorne the past couple of years. In any case, with Doc at the helm, I might make it through more than two games before disabling commentary.

Wow, the presentation is incredible!

No more Jim Hughson! Yay!

But they need to tone down the physics on those jerseys. Lol.

Fez is stunning and Phil Fish is an artist. I can stand a little eccentricity for more of both.

Bah, jazz...

Fez, Journey, Hotline Miami, FTL are some of my favorites from the past few years. I still listen to these soundtracks pretty often.

I've had the Asus T100 for about 6 months now. I love it. It runs pre-2005(ish) games no problem, but it also runs most current indie games (which is mostly what I play) just fine.

In addition, we now have things like Steam In-Home Streaming, which runs the program on my much more powerful desktop rig, and sends h.264 to another device. I've used this quite a bit with the aforementioned T100, and it works very well. We're not far away from this type of streaming b...

A Link to the Past is my favorite, but Ocarina of Time was a magical experience, hugely successful at propelling the series in to 3D. The game just oozes charm, as do most Zelda titles.

Mass Effect 2 title screen.

That's not really true, we get lots of great deals too :D

I (finally!) picked up a 3DS a couple of weeks ago - absolutely could not pass up $79.99 at Staples - along with Mario Kart and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Mario Kart is great, as expected. Zelda is fantastic! I could not put it down until I was done. If you are a fan of A Link to the Past, it's a total no-brainer.

Bravely Default and Fire Emblem are the next games I'll be looking to pick up.

Not sure it's top 20 material, but DA:O on PC is a damn fine game. One of my favorites in the past decade for sure.
