still not close to the most recent rpgs imo. Demon soul , Valkyria chronicles , Star Ocean IV , tales of Vesperia all looked better.

eternal sonata is cell shaded. It's a well detailed cell shaded game.

Any type of RPG's that would play exactly like the old 90s games would be received badly by the populus unless they tweak a few things up like Lost odyssey and Tales of vesperia,Symphonia2.

Eternal Sonata was actually one of the best Looking jrpgs at the time it came out whith great cell-shading that is still viewed as good today. this Atelier game doesnt compare at all it looks like a PS2 rpg.
