I'd say Portal 1 just for the song but Portal 2 is definitely up there too. I'd also mention Ico and SOTC.

If I had to pick a top moment it would be something involving Alyx Vance, possibly the very beginning of episode one. I'm so creepily obsessed with Alyx it's really not okay. I can sort of fall back on the fact that it's probably because the first (and probably only) girl I ever really fell in love with was pretty much exactly a caucasian Alyx from the tomboy attitude down to the grown out short dyed hair, the ass hugging jeans and (weirdly) her exact skin tone. I can use the fact...

I wouldn't say he's another AVGN wannabe as he's not doing the mock anger thing that's only ood when done by the nerd. This is just a regular lighthearted old game review. Quite entertaining only he needs to lay off the memes and should never sow himself talking, partly because the poor cam quality makes it look cheapo and partly because he looks like Kim Jong Un in a Chas Bono costume.

The trailers certainly don't make it look that way, and not just because of the setting. Max Payne was always about purposefully overdone pulp noir, in line with something like Sin city.

This looks like it'll follow the same Rockstar storytelling that began with GTA4 and matured with Red dead redemption, which means it'll be full of characters with more dimensions than you're used to seeing in a videogame and will probably be one of the most mature confidently...

You're the only other person I've seen mention the framerate problems, I thought I was going insane. I actually downloaded the demo twice thinking it must have just been something about the first copy of it making the framerate crawl on my PS3 but it seems that's just the way it is. I find the framerate so incredibly low I can't even play it, I have serious trouble seeing what's going on.

Other than that it's.... alright, it basically just feels like ...

I'll keep most of those pics in my inventory but I'm gonna use the first one to make omni gel.

I swear I never wanted to be a grammar Nazi but holy fuck, it's like every single article we see here these days is written in comedy retard voice. 'what have this new game will be like' 'I play game thinkit be good one day when I buy it maybe yes'. I'm not expecting perfect grammar, fuck knows that's something I ain't myself gots none of my own selfs but when every article you see here is written in the tone of an excited child who just found a twinkie on the ...

There's no way these games are free, you goddamn liar. Okay, all bad jokes aside thanks for the article. I had no idea I could get free super Mario and Megaman x and I could never figure out why I couldn't get Daggerfall to run on my computer before. Thanks again.

So we play as the intriguing coked out psychopath and we have to hunt and kill the little wigger douche who escaped? Day one.

Don't kill me but the demo didn't really wow me. I hope the lack of options in dialogue (nice guy or mean guy) and the fact that the character creation is insanely scaled back were just due to the fact that this is a demo. Another problem with the character creation was that even though I tried to recreate my skinny slick looking Sheperd, making his neck as thin as possible etc, he still wound up looking like Russell Crowe borrowing Henry Rollins' neck. It's like the game has ...

I'm probably jinxing myself by saying this but I think I must be the only person who didn't have any major problems with the PS3 version of this game. I'm about 75 hours in and the most I've had is two freezes and the occasional framerate dips only when I'm watching a dragon attack a valley full of forsworn or camp full of giants and mammoths. I'm not denying the problems exist, just saying it's weird because I'm usually the unluckiest guy alive when it comes t...

Oh... Okay then, I guess calling the guy diseased IS in fact a fitting tribute for him. My bad.

Can't say they fill me with confidence, I know it's based on the comic books rather than the TV show but are they sure they've been looking at the right comic? The style looks more suited to a ghostbusters game than the Walking dead. That guy with the goatee being attacked by the zombie bursting through the door should probably be looking terrified but actually looks more like someone just told him they prefer the Phantom menace to Empire strikes back.

I couldn't disagree more. I wasn't expecting to like this game at all with all the changes made but I loved it. I found the combat ridiculously fun from beginning to end, toward the end once I had mastered all the different functions of the demon arms and I was being attacked by hordes of regular enemies peppered with a few spotlight carrying guys and guys with whips that could disarm me, I was surprised by just how creative the combat became.

The extremely short camp...

I never got into New Vegas even though I loved FO3. It just didn't have a hundredth of the atmosphere that 3 had even though it had more content and some real gameplay improvements. From the moment I left the Vault in 3 I was in another world, there was something amazing about just walking around that desolate sepia toned world and listening to either the whistle of the wind through the burnt out wreckage of civilization or listening to haunting old songs that just fit the mood of this wo...

It is an absolutely amazing game, the combat is some of the most fun I've had in a game ever and the story surprisingly almost outdoes it's awesome predecessor in terms of amazing moments that completely elevate the experience above your regular videogame experience...

BUT it IS a ridiculously short game. Sure you can lengthen the experience by turning the difficulty right up so that each firefight takes much longer to get through but that's not really an argument i...

I could never get into videogame novels. I find a book to be such a big investment of time that I might as well go straight for the real heavy hitter books, reading a game tie-in novel almost feels like the reading equivalent of playing a movie tie-in game. Of course I know I'm a hypocrite because I love game tie-in comic books.

I really hope this doesn't end up as another case of 'preview - this game is amazing and we can't wait to play more. Review - this game sucks horribly from the very first second' . If it actually works as well as this preview implies this could be exactly my kind of thing. It's a pity it didn't get enough of a budget to look like a modern retail game but it looks like the atmosphere and originality could carry it.
