I agree with this 100% And now that micro transactions are a lucrative business, the video game industry is now becoming like the Casino industry. As long as people are addicts the money will keep flowing and morals get thrown out the window.

I remember when game magazines Electronic Gaming Monthly and Unofficial PlayStation magazine used to come bundled with a free demo that would have several snippets of games before they came out. One demo would have 5 games that were high profile and gave you a brief taste of whats to come, and it would really help in deciding if a game was worth buying or not. That was especially handy when you were a kid and didn't have much money for games, so it gave you a way to experience the games w...

Nintendo definitely exceeded everyone's expectations even their own. It really is mind boggling how they always have these epic comebacks. It's almost like they have 1ups or extra lives in real life. Miyamoto just might be Super Mario afterall lol

People here don't want to hear that but it's the truth. I enjoy VR but I'm not too proud to admit that it still needs polish. I think PSVR will really take off when it's wireless and at a demand price point. Samsung Gear VR isn't perfect but I do like the wireless aspect. It's kind of cool waking up and just reaching over your bed to grab the VR helmet not needing to sort anything up or connect any cords. Simply press power and play. I problably get downvoted for this ...

This is a capitalist dream. When consumers are more excited about company earnings than the company itself is. I've come to realize it's not even about gaming for most of the people on this site; they've developed a cult mind-set and there should be some kind of research being conducted on that. I've always been a fan of PlayStation but that's as far as it goes.

The best thing about the Switch is it already comes with 2 controllers for the kids to use right out the box. So you could get away with just buying one for now. You could tell Nintendo really put alot of thought into how it would be used when they were building the design.

This generation is a trip. People make it sound like these games have vast differences between platforms but they look exactly the same to the naked eye. It's not like your going to have 2 TV's setup side by side with one running on Playstation and the other an Xbox. In that example you would notice some differences but if it's that serious then I feel for you. Just enjoy whatever version you have end of story.

They have to stop making half-assed games for it. I mean they all are pretty cool and interesting but they need some AAA games to push it. I'm talking about a full GTA VR, or Call of Duty VR that puts you right in the action. Even Final Fantasy X would have been cool but instead they just made some fishing game that seems more like a mini game. Resident Evil had the right idea and that brought a lot of positive attention to the device. The only way I see PS VR succeeding is Sony themselve...

Raw is War, PS1

It seems like all these mid-generation consoles are just a waste of money. You may as well stick with your Xbox OneS or standard PS4 until PS5 or Xbox Two comes out.

That's actually what it's going to take to get more third party support on the Switch. The hardcore fanbase has to support companies other than Nintendo. If Bethesda makes good on their returns other third parties will take notice and you never know, might get GTA on the Switch. It's all business as usual what it boils down to.

This is actually big news. Zone of Enders 2 was a masterpiece if anyone remembers it from the OG PS2 era. It's right up there with Devil May Cry 3 and MGS: Snake Eater, but unfortunately Zoe never got the exposure it deserved from Konami being in the shadow of Metal Gear Solid.

I don't own a Switch but at one point was thinking about getting one. I think the concept is very cool and even though it has a lot of games now I don't see too many that are for me. Having said that Nintendo isn't for everyone and the same goes for every console including PC. You have to chose the one that's best for you.

Microsoft's problems began when they scaled back the original Xbox One due to backlash of being bundled with Kinect and charging $500 at launch while their nearest competitor was $400. They were never able to bounce back and were so preoccupied with trying to reinvent Xbox hardware to meet consumer demands, that it took away time and effort they could have dedicated to creating new games. I kind of feel bad for Phil Spencer sometimes because he was given the impossible task of cleaning up...

I know to each his own but I honestly don't see the point of Xbox One X. What market exactly is this for? At $500 bucks it's clearly not for console gamers. They might have actually sold me if they had the games to back it up, but alas they don't and the ones they do you can also get on PC or just get an Xbox One S for a fraction of the price, and if you choose to go that route then may as well get a standard PS4. The Switch is a much more interesting proposition in my opinion bec...

Technically you could put the Switch in the same category as PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

This was a smart play for Atari and the best chance they have of becoming relevant again. The success of Nintendo Mini has granted Atari an opportunity and I agree with the direction. But like always success or failure will ultimately come down to the price. The real question is whether they still have a fan base or not. All their original fans are old now.
