I highly doubt that this will be true; I don't believe MS is that stupid..
People say he said 'supposedly.' Supposedly is not a word to use with a fact.
People get so bent out of shape will yearly releases (especially for SP oriented games).
No one is forcing you to buy the games when they first release; buy on your schedule.
They will not be going anywhere, you can pick up a copy basically anytime you feel the need.
The games aren't bad, they do create new aspects, new worlds and interesting stories..
My only question, though, is what they are going to do about the Desmond role..
See, I also think the same way.. I'd rather buy it on the new system.
Same goes for Watch Dogs, I'd rather wait and buy that than get it on PS3.
I'm sure there will still be tons of on ground playing.
I just think if it is pirates, the naval gameplay will be more a focus.
I don't see them going free.. completely. They may implement a system like Sony.

I don't think what you say is quite true, not how I remember anyway.
There may have been more xBox fans, that is a possibility.
But, as far as 'extremists' go.. the Sony fans had way more for them.
One thing I know is that the 'trolls' now a days suck compared to them.

And, I'd expect either a Halo, Gears of War, or a Forza. But, I highly hope for new IP's.
Or, you could simply, and bear with me, just buy games when they drop in price..

I have always loved the x360 controller, though, over the PS controller.

I don't think so. I think Activision will release for both next and current gen.
I think they'd realize a year from now next gen won't have a huge audience.
So, if they were to sell only for next gen they would lose on a lot of sales..
But, ahhhhh well, who knows. I may end up being surprised.
I don't mind the RTS aspect, Halo Wars turned out great. Which I still think a 2nd would be awesome.
The only thing that gets me, would be the Kinect aspect of it. Unless it was like 'Endwar.'
Whereas you still play with a controller, if wanted, but can play solely with voice recognition.
