It is a fair point, to wonder what you're supposed to get out of a game after so many hours. More often than not, the reward is being able to do it again but with more power (NG+). Coincidentally, my interest in Elden Ring dropped dramatically just about an hour after starting NG+.
This is frankly absurd and I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before now. Paying extra for camera control, and animations? Shame on Sega.
It's important to remember the distinctions between UI and UX. The criticism in the article is largely targeted at UX. There's not much of a UI to be had in Elden Ring, menus aside. Instead, critics seem to be talking about things like accessibility and general ease-of-use, i.e. conversation logs so you remember where to go, or the somewhat-recently-added map markers for NPCs.
And in comes N4G, skimming off the top, leeching off the work of others by virtue of design, and then creating its own artificial gatekeepers.
If video game journalism is a cesspool, as so many here say it is, then N4G is the rancid layer of scum resting at the bottom.
Just so we're clear, what sort of corporate incentives do you mean? And how do they affect video game journalism?
The mods have said that Thor has nothing to do with God of War Ragnarok
Thor has nothing to do with God of War Ragnarok according to the N4G mods. @cl1983, care to chime in on whether or not this is relevant?
I'm going to go with no. It's just that his bigness would be perceived by people now as fatness.
Or the Nintendo Switch-branded MicroSD card.
Why would Sony ever let Ratchet and Clank release for PC?
Answer: They wouldn't.
Makes me wonder if IW is ever going to address the countless bot servers people are selling access to
Wait... Game Informer didn't say it was a rumor, they reported it as fact. So wouldn't that make GI the source of the rumor?
If sources suddenly have to provide sources, then the whole Rumors side of "Hottest Game News & Rumors" is going to disappear. And if Game Informer isn't considered a credible source, wouldn't that rule out hundreds or even thousands of online publications?
Game Informer says the Remaster is bundled in with Miles Morales. But since PS5 will run a lot of PS4 games (and almost certainly all Insomniac games now that they're finally first-party for Sony), chances are good the PS4 version will be fully compatible with PS5. If so, I imagine those same PS5 enhancements would land as a patch for PS4 owners.
How in the world did this story not get flagged as clickbait?
Yikes, I don't want Halo to be like Destiny
These days "remaster" just means "same game with slight visual improvements"
Did you not read the story? The author offers some very obvious praise for Naughty Dog games
I've personally found them to be more about entertainment than true fun. Probably why I never went back to re-play any of the Uncharted games
I had imagined totally different working conditions, pretty cool to see how it really played out.
These aren't clickbait articles. These are writers who are conveying to you, the reader, an idiotic statement made by a game designer.
Really nice feature. Brought back memories of many games I'd completely forgotten about.
