Man this took me a while to work out. I thought it was a bug at first. Think I would prefer it grouped with the rest of the firearms, maybe holding Y for Shotguns / Auto Rifles / Sniper Rifles and tapping for pistols.
Lack of stock in Japan. Check the Xbox Feedback forums, more Japanese stock is a legit feedback point, with Japenese gamers being unable to find the console in stores.
Or how about using logic. Switch was a huge Christmas present, and more stock was readily available in December. I bought a Switch and One X, both in December. Glad to contribute to the tears.

As for now, the Sony clan will continue to call it a broken mess, unplayable, and a bad alternative to Fortnite.
