I totally agree. I just beat chrono trigger again and I have been playing it since 95. I love that game. The story, characters, art,music,and the new game plus never gets old.
Everyone always says they don't know how a FPS or a game like splinter cell would work with out a controller but can't you use natal with a controller? I don't know a lot about natal but from what I read It seems it would be pretty useful with assisting games that we already play. Imagine looking around with your head to aim or when you are up against a wall slightly leaning left or right to peek around a corner. with silent hill shattered memories, Heavy Rain, and Alan wake I'll be set. PLus Bioshock 2 is the icing on top of the cake.
I like natal and I think Milo could be perfect as an educational tool. Imagine a game like blues clues where your child can fully react with the character on screen. Imagine doing a letter/shape hunt and your child has to find letters or shapes around the house then show them to the character. That's one fine looking game. To bad I don't have a PS3.I might get one for fathers day but who knows. We had I party recently and I told everyone when they left, say they were doing so because there was no PS3. lol. I think she got the hint.
It all comes down to marketing and MS are pros at that. Everywhere I look the media is talking about natal and hyping it up. It was even on good morning America today. whether it's a gimmick or not I don't know, but with enough good word going around I'm sure people will buy into it. I will do as I always have and wait about 6 months after it has been released to see if it lives up to the hype. I've done this with everything related to video games after I purchased the atari jaguar.
I want it for my kid. She is 3 and I think she would have a blast with the game splat. She sees me playing games and she wants to play so bad but all she'll do is move the camera around in circles(portal) or run off the edge of a cliff.(braid) She gets pretty upset that she can't do everything I can. Natal is a definite welcome by me as long as MS doesn't forget about the hardcore games.
I didn't really watch E3 but this makes the 4th site that was impressed with MS conference. Gamepro, 1up, G4TV, and now CNET all thought MS did a great job. I'm waiting for someone on here to post news of how terrible MS conference was but I haven't seen it yet. I guess either these sites above are bias or MS did indeed have a good conference. I don't know if they stole the show or anything like that but so far it seems they have done pretty good.
I'm so stoked for this game. I think I have enjoyed everything bioware has made and Mass effect is so over the top. Can't wait.
I will agree with you about old school UO. That's how an MMO should be. When you died your sh!t stayed on your body and was a free for all to loot. If you sucked, better not leave town because someones waiting to PK you. I remember just purchasing a vendor and I was carrying it to my house when someone swiped it out of my backpack. lol. I learned my lesson the hard way. UO would punish you if you were not good. I loved that. But EA killed it and now it's super easy. I might check out this gam...
Halo 3 is a great game IMO. I have lots of parties and never have I met someone that hasn't had fun playing halo 3 co-op. It might not be the best game but it's great fun and anyone I've met can pick it up and play it.
I have been gaming for twenty years now and I can say that I, and everyone I know, would take advantage of any bug or glitch in any game. Why?? Because it's damn video game for christ sakes. If Blizzard gave me an idem that was super power I would use the hell out of it and never stop until blizzard deleted the item. I would love to have a browser on my 360. I don't pay for cable and my wife and I watch our favorite shows on hulu. It's nice on the computer monitor but I would rather watch it on my 42 inch TV. Before someone says connect your computer to your TV my compter is up stairs. This has been my biggest compiant with the 360 since day 1. It just doesn't make since that MS has a Browser and doesn't use it for the 360.
I would have to add super mario RPG as well. I was very surprised when I played it.

I don't know about the lag issue but I watched the interviews on youtube and they said it uses a knew technology to prevent lag with slower bandwith. I don't know what he was talking about but it seems cool. You can check it out on youtube. I'm going to wait to see if it is as good as they say.
If I can play crisis with out having to upgrade my computer then it's a day 1 purchase for me. I think there are a lot of cool possibilties when it comes to being an inexpensive alternative to PC gaming but as far as console gaming goes they will always have exclusives that will sell there systems.
I think the women were a perfect match for EQ chicks. I mean really they looked like they have seen there days on the battlefield.

wouldn't let me edit. I got my dates mixed up. FF7 was announced 4 months after the launch of the PS1 with square stating that there were limitations on the N64. Square backing the Ps1 a year before N64 launched. PS1 had a great launch with 8 games. All the press was good before launch and had great advertising. I think they sold 3.1 million in there first year. All before the N64 launch. There were solid third party exclusives and great first party games.

did you ever think that maybe bungie didn't change the graphics because it is their artistic style. Just a thought. Not everything has to look super realistic to be fun. Also, I can't wait for this game.
