The fact that games are cheaper. Yes the hardware is more expensive but even new releases are $10 cheaper than consoles. Just got Bioshock 2 off of steam for $14. Still a $60 game for 360 most of the time.

As someone who is not sixteen and actually has a real job, i'm in the air a lot. Used to take my PSP with me on every trip. Since they actually started making good games for my iPhone, i havent taken the PSP with me since. Downloaded games are easier, they tend to be pick up and play since my sessions arent hours long, and as long as you check some user reviews and avoid the ones with crappy controls then the ones done right control great. i agree for the most part but i have played some great games on my PS3. Uncharted, Ratchet, MGS4 were all great. The whopping $4 a month for xbox live is more than worth it for the better experience though. and before you fanboys start quoting MGS4 as an example of blu-rays superiority in gaming stop.... it was a 12 hour game wrapped in a twenty hour movie. And the installs took longer and were more annoying than if i would have had to get off the couch for 5 seconds and swapped a disc. ...

I personally think they are going to take a hit now that blu ray players are under $200. I know of a few people who bought a PS3 last year strictly as a blu ray player. That was my main motivation too when i first bought it. It is by far the best player for the money. Most people dont look into it enough to know the difference between 1.0,1.1, or 2.0 profiles. And by the way, there is nothing to respond too in terms of defending the 360 as you want me too. I'm fortunate enough to own both consoles and don't have to "hate on one to make myself feel better. I've played great games on both consoles this year. Picked some multiplats for the 360 (fallout 3, GTA4) due to it being better (in my opinion) and played some on the PS3 (COD4) for the same reason (again, my opinion).

All you have to do is google it and there are numerous articles on this recently from reputable sources. Sony themselves reported this as recently as May. And pardon me for not being specific. They are losing money still in their gaming division. I'm not sure about the rest of the company but as most companies do they track the profitability of individual divisions. This is stuff you learn in intro level business classes but as another fanboy you probably wouldnt know anything about that....
Ceekay... your ignorant and an uninformed fanboy. Sony is still losing money on every PS3 sold so they cannot afford a price cut. Microsoft on the other hand is still making a slight profit on every 360 sold even after the price cut. Couple that with the larger attach rate per console, which is where the real money is, and your looking at the reason microsoft is in the black now while sony is in the red. xbox already has this game as exclusive.... its called Halo 3. After finishing it last night they are earily similar in gameplay, levels, enemies, and even the ending sequence. It was a great fun game but i cant help but think a lot of those ideas came from halo.
Agreed. Great Game. Finished solo campaign last night. Could not help but see all the similarities to the Halo franchise though. "The Flood" moments, the countdown at the end, even the enemies seemed too similar to Halo counterparts.
All newer laptops do support it. And its still better to leave it plugged in (on a newer laptop) then it is to drain and recharge constantly.
