No need for rumor status, I can confirm the email as I got it about an hour ago.
This is EA at the reins trying to push Origin on everyone. It's not a huge deal, since alpha was fairly painless to launch, but it's not the most efficient way to integrate a server browser for sure. I'd be willing to bet it was a move to guarantee BF3 couldn't be used/sold on Steam, period.
Sadly, EA is just another business looking to up their market share, so it's the gamers that suffer in the end.
Too little, too late for me. Finished this last weekend and have no plans to ever play it again. Really disappointing sophomore attempt, with the ditching of sandbox game-play for a COD shooter-on-rails approach. Crysis was a truly unique FPS; what happened Crytek?

I must be in the vocal minority here because I agree with what the retailer is trying to do. I don't think you guys realize that if this trend continues we're one step away from full digital distribution. That would make Steam a monopoly and I can tell you right now I'll never pay full retail for a PC game on release day, which is all Valve ever offers in my experience. Without physical distribution, there's no competition and that's when the Government gets involved me...
That made my day.
A game you never cared about. ;)
He's not dogging the game as horrible, he's simply comparing it to Uncharted (and other past gaming experiences) and in that respect I felt he's spot-on. If you look at Uncharted 2 as a standalone game or even as the first game you've ever played, it will be epic. I was personally disappointed with how the game felt like a step backwards compared to the first and only because the first was absolutely perfect.
In fact, Uncharted was the first time in a long time I couldn't put t...
Amazon has also had this listed for at least a month or two as well. Gamerdeals is reporting that this was a new addition, which is a lie. The reason I know this for a fact is because I've been trying to pre-order the PS3 version from Amazon for a while now, but they refuse to list it. They're doing the same thing with Castlevania: Lord of Shadows, which is pretty stupid if you ask me.
You could control them with the analog sticks. Not only would hilarity ensue (use your imagination) but it would be great fun for perverts like me!
What. . ?
C'mon, it's the PS3; IT ONLY DOES EVERYTHING AMIRITE?!
Amazon has had this price for over a month now and it's simply a $5 off pre-order price. However, GameStop is listing it for $55 and advertising the $5 pre-order promotion, yet after adding it to your cart it still rings up as $55. My guess is the pricing includes said promotion and this isn't really a price drop, since other retailers would be reflecting the same MSRP.
If that's the case, it's poorly presented and could cost them since the promotion is not clear.
I certainly hope they plan on releasing this in the states as well. :\

Hmm, either he's lying or they put the review back because it's still there.

As a fan of both series, it will negatively impact sales at least for me. I know right off the bat Diablo IV will be a 2-3 month obsession before I feel freshness fall off. For me, I will NOT be buying FFXVI at launch because of this and since it will be closer to the holiday season by then (and potentially Starfield releasing), I have no reason to jump on it until Black Friday sales.
So yes, at least one sale will be affected and I doubt I'm alone. They are most defini...
