My guess is a mixture of Death Stranding being a simpler game (no large cities, low variety of NPCs, mostly static world), perhaps it being run on a revised engine, and Kojimas constant desire to use the latest tech on all his projects.

We're looking at one of the most comprehensive ray tracing stack ever (minus minecraft and quake). I can only imagine the cost to performance.

If Neil wants to make a political statement with his game... why not suggest bigots, racists, sexists, etc. play it? If he believes in his message, surely there's a chance some of those bigots could see a new side of life, or a new perspective, that ultimately improved their lives.

I played on an ssd. There was still stuttering, but truthfully it's not like I tried on an hdd so I dont know how bad it gets.
Completely agree. Game journalist difficulty should always come with a way to easily detect if a reviewer beat it on such an easy mode. A cut down or absent ending for example.
Man, I remember first starting SWG at like age 9 or 10, only a week or two after those New Game Enhancements went live. I went full sith lord, but man, hearing about the things I missed it sucks!
I'd love to see a revival of the old version of the game but with a new game itself!

Used an rtx card before with ray tracing.
Unless you go full ray traced like quake 2, or even what they did with minecraft, I'd still prefer 60fps non raytraced over ray traced at 30fps.
