I loved LA Noire and disagree with the majority of the subjective points raised in this article.
Excellent opinion piece, nicely written, but I find myself unable to see LA Noire from this point of view. I enjoyed it enormously, and although it engenders comparison with movies more than it does game, it needs to be borne in mind that this is still a videogame and as such comes with all the expected limitations such designation allows.
I don't see how this article is flamebaity. It makes some very valid and interesting points about the negative effects PSN's downtime has had on its third-party developers and how Microsoft is seeking to exploit that. It's well-researched, well-written and original.
