There are a ton of games that I love playing on my iPod and a handful i like on my Android (way to go Amazon free app of the day!)
Part of the allure for me is a simple game, from a controls perspective. Mucking that up with crap all over the screen or an external controller would just be horrible.
They are doing great with games, I rarely find myself looking for another game and not finding one.
Couldn't stand it personally ... I'm not a huge mobile device junkie to begin with (though you can pry my iPod and my Droid out of my cold dead hands).
I've tried the 3DS a couple of times and it never made me think "wow, i wish Splinter Cell was on here".
The SP was not outstanding, but still worth one playthrough.
Looking real good. Need to add to my Amazon queue...
I gave up caffeine for lent and I thought I had it bad. Sheesh!
If Nintendo releases details of something amazing (not counting on it), expect Sony and M$ to adjust their timelines.
A true powerhouse of a machine is what they need, but I'm not holding my breath. Adopting BD would be brilliant, but won't happen. If it's Nintendo, it proprietary.
I'm particularly excited about perks for actually sticking with your team. What a concept.
There are some good games in there. Super Off Road was a blast. Super Spike Vball was as well.
A couple of my own additions:
RC Pro-Am
Ring King
Super Dodgeball
See, I get wrapped up in a game sometimes(good). So wrapped up that I forget to manually save (bad). I agree that should be fixed.
I don't disagree that the other adds should be console driven, but since the console isn't doing it, put the feature in the game.
Pause on controller disconnect ... good god yes. Just simply, yes.
Someone on the site mentioned pausing during cutscenes. I can't agree more. Sometimes you need to p...
This made my afternoon :P
I'm sorry, did you say free? Hrm...
The first one drove me nuts with the camera view. Felt like I was sitting on someone's shoulder. Blech.
The follow-up looks promising.
Please ... yes!
Loved classic MK and the movie (horrible acting, but was fun at the time).
As said above, the fact remains that, at least for many, many years, motion controls just can't replace a controller. Some of the sports games and dance games are novel, but we are pretty far away from having a motion controller with the accuracy needed for fps or driving or any game where split second and granular changes can mean success or failure.
Motion control games can be fun, but when I want to play a racing or fps game, I need to assurance of accuracy provided...
I didn't get hooked on them until I got amazon Prime. The 3.99 overnight shipping is just too good to pass up.
Not huge perks for LBP2, but better than a kick in the teeth.
I really, really enjoyed the Myst games. I would love to see something like this resurrected.
No doubt!
