This is great news! I hope it'll make more PC users jump into some number crunching. A great 3D simulation is much more appealing to the general community, which is, IMO, why the PS3 folding is so popular.
This is for a good cause, so get foldin'!
When drtysouf 21 posted his little vendetta, I said that the flamefights in public gave all of us a bad name. I cost me a bubble, but nonetheless, it was the truth. I'm with you on this one.
I'll give you a bubble in compensation of the 5 you're gonna lose in this thread. :D
Even if the PS3 suffers from poor sales this year, no one knows what 2008 brings. Remember, the PS3 sold approxamitely 50% of the number of Xbox 360's sold, without games, with a massive price tag and despite being delayed several months in Europe. Those facts should remind you just how strong the Playstation brand is.
Again, don't let console sales bother you. Several financial reports have concluded that the struggle between 360 and PS3 will be a tie, and that both companies ...
Oh no! *Sounds the flame siren*
Zhuk, while I agree that was funny I simply wonder why you love throwing rocks at the hornets' nest. The only reputation you'll get is the one the drunk uncle gets when he ruins every family party he attends. And then you do it at a birthday party! You are outright evil...
Hehe, agree with you there mate. Although Dynasty Warriors THEORETICALLY could be called tactical, since there are elements of strategy involved. However, most of the strategic elements are consisting of you running into a bunch of soldiers. From there, we all know how the rest goes: "AAaaaargh! Aaaaargh! 500 KILLS! Haiyaaah! Aaaaargh!" until the badass arrives: "It's... it's Lu Bu!" and then you die.
I can't really see what the fuzz is all about. How can this sex scene accumulate as much heat as it has? The GTA games have a long history of sexual content, and it only got mentioned with the Hot Coffee patch.
Besides, as a guy on Kotaku said, if I wanted to see inter-special sex I could play Sonic the Hedgehog.
Let's see how she fares in 2008. Here's hoping...
Seems Microsoft is making a lot of friends. First competing with the MacOS, Linux, then in the console business against Sony and Nintendo. Then they back HD DVD. Now they wanna take on Apple with MP3 players...
I wonder if they can really win a war with so many fronts.
Developers are complaining since this is different than the good ol' days of single threaded programming. But they really need to adapt. Not only is PS3 multi-cored. So is the 360.
I wonder whether the developers will complain when the Octo-core processors arrive. As I said, they really need to adapt, not to meet the needs of PS3, but to keep up with all future hardware. Rest assured gentlemen, this is merely a phase.
@Bathyj
This isn't the regular whining, this is an outrage. An outrage coming from the deepest core of the PlayStation fanbase. They've been eargerly anticipating this demo, and when they finally get it, its locked. And the fact that if they are forced to stick to the Euro Store from now on, there will only be decent updates every 6th months.
Sony have not delivered. I can say that as a very casual gamer who enjoys gaming as a time-killing hobby, and by chance ha...
Now why am I getting disagrees?
I'm not bashing the PS3 here, its the only console I have. I'm just expressing my anger of not being able to play an AAA title due to corporate chit-chat.
This is unheard of, I literally couldn't be more pissed off. That's right. I could walk into a room and catch my girlfriend being screwed by some other guy, and I'd probably buy him a beer compared to what I'd do to the Sony Exec. who thought of this region locking.
First they see the Europeans as 2nd rate citizens, and give us the saddest excuse for an online Store. Then, to their "great" discovery we go to the promised land (US Store) to get the decent demos and tra...
Installing it now... I know I'm fighting a losing battle, but it will work for my Euro PS3 won't it? WON'T IT?!
Can this really surprise anyone? For 100$ I would certainly buy this so I could watch the Bourne and Matrix trilogy in HD. It's simply too good a deal to turn down. However, if this is costing Toshiba a fortune, with a loss on each player sold, then no one apart from Toshiba will make HD-DVD players. Why would a company sell a piece of hardware at a loss, when their only income will be... surprise... the hardware?
Granted, it's a bold move to widen the install base, but I perso...
I completely agree with you. Making a fortune on other people's misery...
One thing is certain, Sony's servers will melt tonight.
@Dark Sniper and The WildAttorney
You two are the sad, yet funny, examples of how low human life can sink.
Although The WildAttorney ultimately takes the "Most-Girlfriend-Needing- Individual" -award of the year with his new bible, prophetizing why the Xbox 360 will lead us to the promised land.
Congratulations!
I disagreed due to you stressing that Xbox 360 versions ALWAYS look better. I think this all comes down to many other factors like developement resources, experience etc. Take a look at CoD4, and you'll see that both versions are completely identical.
By saying that every multiplatform game will always be better on X360, you are automatically taking sides, and can thus be percieved as a simple fanboy out to get attention.
This will surely move Blu-Ray sales, but will it move hardware as well?
I guess we'll have to wait and see...
