He's absolutely right. It may take longer to get away from the old formats but sooner or later it's all going to be stored as data. The RIAA has been crying and fighting reality for years now and to a smaller extent so has the MPAA. The old school way of doing things is going away and the companies that do business that way are like horseshoe makers trying to convince the world not to buy cars. Data on a physical medium is going to be completely obsolete sooner or later.

The PS3 version probably looks better in completely superficial ways but in the end does it actually matter? Both systems are in for a great action adventure game with fantastic graphics. If the differences between the two games are enough to affect your enjoyment of them on either system then you have issues.
I've always been of the opinion that outside of modifying a system so that it could play games from any region, there was never really much point.
I have little doubt that given time the PS3 will overtake the 360 but I doubt it will be by the middle of this year.
And it won't even have to include thousands and thousands of 'sales' that were actually just 'replacements for broken consoles'.

Nintendo claimed they were not trying to compete with the 360 or PS3 and it would appear they were right... For an entirely different reason than they may have expected.
It's a good thing we're not watching a video of hard drives removed from RROD'd 360s, or this video would be a mini series of epic proportions.

Microsoft rushed their console to market. These hardware failures are the result of Microsoft screwing their customers just so the 360 could have a years head start.
Why do they prefer HD DVD or Blu Ray? Only people who are extremely shallow or highly superficial care which format ultimately "wins" the video war.
Is that 10 million active subscriptions or 10 million accounts both active and inactive?
You can petition all you like but money talks and at this point the money is with Blu Ray.
It's doubtful that NG2 will be making a PS3 appearance in the near future but the distant future is always possible.
