"no OS no k/m or any of the other stuff NEEDED to actually run it"
Ok, I agree about the OS...maybe add a $50-100. The cost of a keyboard mouse is minimal.
What about this "other stuff" you mention?
The performance of a licensed game that is rushed to tie in with a movie release should never be used to show the strengths/weaknesses of a console.
This will clearly not be an accurate representation of what the PS4 and Xbox One are/will be capable of, but instead the result of developers being put under too much pressure to produce a big budget game in a small budget time frame.
FTL is a brilliant game. These new features just extend its greatness even further.
Also, the music is really damn good...always get the songs stuck in my head.
"Will the next Bioshock will shock you?"
Really?
Xbox Live and PSN are heavily influenced by various programs on the PC.
In terms of their contributions, both Microsoft and Sony have simply tried to fit all the media capabilities of a PC into a closed console format. They have done a good job of this...but it's not exactly an original idea.
I remember playing online games with my Dreamcast which came before Xbox Live and PSN.
I'm looking forward to seeing how my BF4 fps improves with Mantle.
Hang on, 4 of those 5 games aren't even out yet and the other one is not in its final release state.
So you have basically listed a bunch of games that I can't play now while waiting for another game I can't play now...
Agree with microtransactions.
Also, I hate DLC that would just have been a bonus for completing the game in previous generations.
And PS4 can run games exclusive to PC and Xbox One?
What me meant was that BF4 will be bug free sometime in 2014.
Bad point, PC has exclusives too.
How well does Civ 5 run on your console?
And Star Citizen will always be better on the PC!
Will this be like BF4 where the PS4 and Xbox One cannot run them at 1080p?
Sure...but GTA 5 in HD, higher details and higher fps will be better.
Not to mention the mods, texture packs etc.
The wrong score was posted.
On N4g it says 9/10....but in the review it says 7/10.
Can't remember the last time I played a game at anything less than 1080p 60 fps.
The Battlefield series says hello.
Given that this gen has still not finished and some recently released games (Bioshock Infinite, for example) will no doubt be considered once they have been out for a few months, it seems slightly premature to decide which is the best game of this generation.
Anyways, so far, here are the games that I enjoyed playing and left a lasting impression.
Bioshock
Fallout 3
Day Z
Portal 2
Deus Ex : Human Revolution
XCOM : Enemy...
I hoped to see the Sweetroll from Elder Scrolls/Fallout games.
They really need to look up the definition of "outrageous".
