I think the reason why people still hate on the Xbox One is because of Microsoft's track record with gaming on their consoles so far: They support the console for its first several years of existence, and then just sort of drop it, only pushing the multi-media aspects of the consoles. Look at the 360 today. There is literally no reason to own it unless you're a fan of generic first person shooters and Gears of War. I personally don't trust Microsoft in...
Shadowfall looks stunning. The gameplay and graphics both look amazing, and my fingers are crossed for the writing to follow in the same fashion. I'm probably going to end up passing it for BF4, as I haven't played a military FPS for anything other than multiplayer since COD4 (which is probably the reason why). If Shadowfall turns out to have a particularly compelling single player, I'm definitely going to pick it up.
I didn't play 3, but the storyline of 2 was as childish as they get (without making an outright kids game). They took every bad war movie trope there is and rolled it up into a testosterone fueled mess akin to Gears of War. The multiplayer was fantastic, but the single player was a cringe-fest and a half.

Also because it's technically the greatest movie ever made. Every aspect of the film is flawless (cinematography, acting, editing, set design, etc.) which is why calling The Last of Us gaming's "Citizen Kane moment" really irks me. The Last of Us is by no means a flawless game. I encountered multiple immersion breaking glitches aside from the frequent AI hiccups during my first playthrough. In terms of storytelling/ writing, sound design (Bad Company 2 still wows me at times...
Infinite had a Looper story (ie: an interesting premise mixed with a seemingly smart story that falls apart once thought about for more than five minutes). The reason why everyone loved it was because of its uber-dumbed down and mindlessly easy gameplay, its misplaced/misguided social commentaries and "intellectual references" that made people feel smart, and Elizabeth being a super kawaii-waifu (EDIT: No I don't normally talk like that and yes, I hate myself for using that phra...
Meanwhile you have a Final Fantasy XIII image as your avatar, the undisputed worst Final Fantasy ever made...
(edit) other than X-2 and the various other spin-offs
If the PC could get more AAA single-player experiences (albeit ones that didn't require you to spend thousands on a good monitor, headphones/speakers and parts to make your ultimate gaming machine able to play them at the highest settings), I'm sure more gamers would flock to it. In terms of gaming, it's currently only good for multiplayer, pirating all your games, and the various mods and indie titles which aren't available on consoles.
I have a decent gam...
Your two bubbles speak for themselves.
Forza 5 is the only launch title I would say beats its PS4 competitor (60fps>30fps with Drive Club, although the developers have said they are aiming for 60), and the only other game that looks good is that one top-down Journey-looking game they didn't say too much about. Sony has announced multiple times that they are going to show more PS4 titles at Gamescom as well.

I was going to read this article, but everything changed when the blurb went full-retard.
It it awesome.
Gears of War, Forza, and Halo. That's it.
And Lost Odyssey. Forgot about that gem.
What makes me like Jack is how natural and humble he always sounds. Microsoft's PR crowd makes me feel like I'm having a product pitched to me by a bunch of robots. Their only real "out there with the consumers" PR guy is Major Nelson, and he's a complete jackass.
I have never seen such a disliked person on a website ever. Literally everyone seems to hate Mika.
B-but, PS3 had no gaems
Judging by your 1 bubble, I think I can safely assume that you're trolling.
I think most gamers would prefer to have their conversations via headset.
*EDIT* Forgot this was the Xbox One we were talking about for a second, so "gamers" isn't really an appropriate term.
It's a Kotaku article. Be thankful it's not H3@ds3t W@Rz.
At least Ellie actually had AI (pretty damn fine AI at that). Elizabeth did absolutely nothing throughout the entire game and was completely ignored by enemies. Calling her annoying is an opinion I can't argue with, as everyone doesn't like everyone, and there's nothing we can do about it.
The speed at which this articles temperature went up seems extremely fishy (no pun intended). I've seen actual ground breaking-news articles last several hours before reaching 500. An awful game like
Ghosts would not garner 760 in 10 minutes on a website like this. . .
