Aye. Constantly remind myself to the "welcome to the world of tl;dr". What more can a man do?

Just an FYI, 3/5 (or 6/10 as you put it) is not "bad". It's just a properly scaled scoring mechanism, unlike the vast majority of game publications that have every game within the 7-10 score. At Gadget Review, we utilize a full 5-star method. 5 stars means perfect (so basically nothing ever gets 5 stars). 3 stars means "good". 2 stars is average (what most people consider 50%.

But I guess you'd have known that if you read the review, or at the ver...

You'll be afraid. But then you'll see Isaac Clarke on screen being a badass and steel yourself against the onslaught of Necromorphs. And you'll be a man, with hair on his chest, a beard to your nipples, and an axe on both shoulders.

@IIC0mPLeXII I disagree with you there, at least for online coop. In the same room, yeah, you don't get that same "fright" feeling, the general eerieness of the game. But if you're playing alone in a room, unless your partner or you won't stop babbling about whatever dumb thing happened to them that day, it can get even scarier. We used to do it in Doom 3, which had so many random things hiding in dark corners that 50% of the game was "OH SH- KILL IT KILL IT!" ...

I haven't played RE6 yet, but Dead Space 3 is definitely looking better than RE5. When I played, it was actually scary, not just shock frights. I don't think RE6 was ever meant to be psychological horror, but more gross horror, so I'd definitely root for DS3.

@jwk94 for most gaming sites nowadays, 6/10 is the lowest score you can get. Brilliant, right?

Find me a big enough blender good sir, and I shall find out!

They can get the last-gen Slim with a 320GB drive. That way their house doesn't lose retail value and they have a proper disc tray.

I've seen a few gameplay demos and haven't been impressed, but suddenly everyone loves it.

After visiting Valve's offices and seeing their own faux gun emplacement, I'm jealous I didn't show up a few weeks later to see this in action. Way cooler.

There are peripherals that take care of that, but I hear you. Then again, there are so many games on iOS that are cheap, and plenty of them are really good, even without physical controls. Meanwhile, except for LBP, I don't play anything on the Vita.

Yeah Flair, they never really reveal the specs up front. They did say it's the A5x, and a dual-core gpu (as shown in the image in the article), but that's all they said. It's likely it'll be underclocked like the previous iPhone and iPod Touch CPUs, but considering the significantly lower resolution, power should be pretty close to identical.

Actually all apps will work natively on the larger screen with no changes, though they'll just have black bars on the sides. But if developers want to do it right, yeah, they'll need to make a 4th (5th if still supporting the 3GS) screen resolution. (That's iPad 1/2, iPad, iPhone 4/4S, 5, and potentially 3GS.)

That's actually a really good question, though it's more about size of the device versus performance. A widescreen phone is easier to have virtual controls for. Huh...I'll have to ponder on that.

The new iPod Touch has the A5X, just a dual-core version of the PowerVR GPU (instead of the iPad's quad-core GPU).

That actually looks interesting...now I'm going to have another game I'll want to play but no time to get to.

I played it, and was actually really sad that 2 minutes in it's so plainly a copy of Infinity Blade.

That's my problem as well, though I also think it depends on how stressful it is on the machine. If the actual consumer-grade headset is a 1920x1080 display, or equivalent to that, it's going to be difficult to run it on a lower-end PC. So not only will the cost of the Rift be a concern, so will the cost of the PC to run it.

We might have some really awesome news regarding that, even if we don't get the Rift for next-gen consoles. It'll make it totally worthwhile to ditch whatever Microsoft/Sony kick up in a year or two.

Honestly, I loved it. The snobby PC gamer in me at first said "Ugh, look at those low-res graphics" (640x800 per eye), but being able to look around in game is something that I've been waiting for for years. It really was the coolest thing I saw at PAX. Really looking forward to it.
