was referring to was the actual ARCHITECTURE of the system and not the actual components. I.e, PCs will eventually adopt the PS4 architecture (HOW the CPU/GPU and system Ram all operate together) for it's efficiency eventually. Also, software tech needs some love. It's not ONLY the hardware that matters.

Name any device that is not a camcorder that records for more than 29 minutes at a time. Supposedly there is a very specific/good reason for this limitation, at least to the company that makes the product.

but doctored content? Some dev probably took the real doc and photo shopped the content. So some parts may be true (the parts that no one cares about) and the other parts obviously fake. Kepler 104 x2. That would be some machine!

If this is true, and Sony was running their Apache servers (web servers, correct?) without firewalls, what exactly would the firewalls have done/prevented?
Well, let's see...unless you work for Sony's PSN network team, I sincerely doubt any single person looking into the PSN world has a clue how the security system was implemented. As so many people like to point out, Sony is a multi-billion dollar company. Does anyone really think this was the first and only attempt at breachi...

will the involvement of law enforcement. This just might allow Sony to sit back and let law enforcement (FBI, Interpol etc) take over.
The actions of anonymous makes one wonder...do they realize Sony has little choice but to pursue legal action against these so called hackers? ....Sony is a publicly held company, which means they have to answer to the shareholders of the company. Had Sony not taken legal actions to protect the company's revenues and profits, they could be held...

Stricter laws protecting the very entities they are fighting against. Do you think governments are going t sit idly by while this sort of thing goes on? they (anon)and their actions will be marginalized and criminalized to a greater degree. No gvt will tolerate this kind of attack. Laws will be implemented to protect corps and by proxy, gvts. Threaten a judge???? brilliant!

Wonder what would happen if Sony did the following in court:

"Your honor, Sony regrets the removal of this feature from our product,
but we were left little choice in this matter.Sony has, as a matter of corporate responsibility, been monitoring sites on the Internet dedicated to hacking, and within the last few months, Sony has seen a rise in the community regarding exploiting technology found in our product (the PS3) to
circumvent or breach DRM technology with...

Why are these comparisons even being done?
Everyone seems to want to see better or equality between the consoles to prove POWER, but is that not an incorrect comparison? The comparison that is being made is to some degree about the ability of the console, but it would also seem to be about the rendering capabilities of the consoles software system. The XBOX 360 uses a PROPRIETARY rendering library (DIRECT3D or whatever), and the PS3 uses an open source rendering library (open gl es, no...

if you live in a world where building a reliable network with an extensible/adaptable/evolving/ growing 3D environment software solution (again reliable) occurs in a version 1 release. I'm sure in this world, all 1.0 releases are perfect also, and require nothing further.

In my admittedly demented world however, Home cannot be measured in this manner. If Sony didn't believe in home, then yes, they could release it the way it was, make it pretty, dump a lot of crap in there and ha...

PS3 Software/programming technology will stay the same for the remainder of it's life cycle.
"Yes" (it can do better) if you are a believer in PS3 software/programming technology making advancements/improvements throughout it's life cycle, a more likely scenario.

Why not just make a small form factor PC (in console packaging), load it up with windows whatever and we can have not only console compatibility, but PC as well. Then we can ALL play the same games. Yipppeeee! and happiness will spread far and wide across the land(s)!

yeah, never heard of them either....results are the same however, (another) negative story on Sony and PS3.

Days seems like punishment! Folks need to lighten up on these guys working on these games. It's not as if they set out to create the problems they are having, it's just the nature of the beast. Going from a test environment (beta) to a live or production environment will cause problems more times than not.
