This is very true, people have lost what diversity even is. The word alone makes me cringe with the way it is used and applied. People are losing jobs that they deserve just for "diversity" sake, when really it is a hand out or people with the same thought and perspective but a different skin tone or gender. Diversity of thought and perspective and opinion is most definitely not a consideration.
I mean, I would even go as far to say developers are forgetting about the core loop, and focusing too much on the frivolous. The core is an after thought more and more often these days.
You are correct in the fact that exclusives get a higher level of criticism, you fail the mention the outlier here though. If it has a Nintendo logo on it, then it is unanimously praised regardless... and generally gets pardoned for so many criticisms every other game gets. Their games are looked at with the rosiest tented glasses in human existence.

Rockstar... How many people worship them baffles me, and Red Dead is massively overrated. The game is decent, but not near as good as it's portraited, the online money system was a mess, the online is a mess with no free aim mode available so it's just a lock on cluster f***. Which leads to why is there lock on? Oh because the gameplay mechanics are pulled from the ps2 generation, omg it's so so bad, add in clunky button mapping, and it's nauseating how this passes now days. G...
The clan system and tournament system in Killzone 2 was beyond amazing, and is a travesty that it went under the radar... every mp game should of stole that system and it should be a staple in multiplayer games today... instead its left forgotten and dead unfortunately

Oh my jeez... I just hope no more studios I like. Microsoft does this every single console cycle. Buys a ton of studios and exclusive deals, then cans and/or ruins them, and by the 3rd year into the console cycle they have completely stopped supporting everything not Gears/Halo/Forza.... this will be 4 generations running now ppls, learn from history.
