It would be a shame if ME2 was GOTY. There are so many better games this year. My GOTY so far is Starcraft 2 and the amount of work Blizzard has put into that is amazing. Then there's GOW3, LBP2, Civ 5, and possibly Reach.
I just guessing that the successors or the games later down in the line surpassed the original.
Fantastic list. Really agree with Metal Gear Solid and Metroid. MGS4 was such a fantastic ending for the hero we know as Snake. And Metroid is still as excellent as ever. Resident Evil 4 was one of my favorites on the PS2 and it's a shame that RE5 was so far away from it.
Looks like only Mafia 2 will be on my buy list.

I like that he's trying, but he falls way too short. While an addition to the gaming community, I feel HHG is taking his approach the wrong way. I know many that would face palm this as I did, but if he can obtain manners, become mild mannered and respectable, he can do alright.

If you look at timeless games now, they're mostly 2D games. But since most games are in HD this gen, I would love to see how they turn out.
