Bomberman R could be great but at £50 it's too much. And I'm someone who thinks the rest of the Switch pricing is ok! :)
I heartily recommend Machinarium & PixelJunk Shooter. Very refreshing in a world seemingly dominated by first and third person action games.
Not to take anything away from Uncharted though, it's great and continues to push boundaries.
I agree - these are all things often overlooked in most WW2 games.
I hope it's a Jackie Chan game.

I'm looking forward to The Conduit, the Wii is dying for a decent FPS.
I was wondering the same thing.
Will probably get the iPhone version though. When at home something like Call of Duty or Halo makes more sense.
Interesting article, looking forward to the next.
It's great to see an insight into what gaming is like over there. As you say everything is so Western-focused these days, I had no ideas there would be so few servers provided.
Not much to see but I'm sure there'll be more soon.
Do we think Modern Warfare II will be better than CoD4?
lol, great :)
These could become highly collectable!
Wasn't sure about getting this but the reviews coming in are better than I expected.
Although I had the original SFII I've mostly played the Tekken series since the PlayStation came out. This would seem a good a time as ever to get back into Street Fighter.
Maybe Lucasarts could divert some resources to Monkey Island 5.
I think their influence has been largely positive, however it has led to some gamers placing a bit too much emphasis on their points accumulation. Not all points are created equal as some take far more work than others.
They do encourage people to look further into a game and it can be nice to feel rewarded by doing a task. But I don't tend to notice unlocked achievements much on 360 as the popup got annoying so I turned it off.

Expansions can be great, I actually thought Zero Hour added enough to Generals to make it essential. The problem is that all the C&C games since have only really made superficial changes to the Generals formula.
Giving fans what they want is the ideal scenario, but there is a fine line between doing this and releasing something easy knowing fans will buy it no matter what.
Sooner or later people will get tired playing uninspired missions. I completed the Red Aler...
Red Alert 3 hasn't been out long, and as a long time C&C fan this expansion is perhaps one of the most unsurprising efforts to cash in on past successes of a series.
At least Kane's Wrath had the incentive of seeing more of Kane, who is something of an icon, but Red Alert 3 doesn't really have any characters to make it worth getting.
Red Alert 3 was quite disappointing in general, and rather uninspired. I think this expansion could be one of the first C&C pro...
Hard to cover everything, but I think it is a fair list.
I'm glad Braid fared well, personally that's my game of 2008.
So many good games this year.
My only worry was they would try and rush this out because they knew it would sell well either way. Thankfully they're taking their time and it should result in a polished experience.
Should be the perfect game for Xmas.
There are some interesting points raised in this article.
As someone who is a big fan of both film and games I think games that tell a good story are few and far between. For every Final Fantasy there is a vast array of shallow titles with zero story.
There is no doubt games have the potential to match film's ability to tell stories but right now there are not many comparable examples around.

I really like the visual style, and if it's anything near as addictive as Desktop Tower Defence it could be a great addition to the PSP.
I'm really interested in the Switch but this story is garbage, has no content and is clearly only written to stick an affiliate link at the end. Shouldn't have been approved.
