Im waiting for the God Of War PSP bundle in June. That Blood Red looks sweet! EA & Sony just doesnt sound right!
But that should teach us all, not to buy a game from "Valve" on the PS3.

This game is NOT the "greatest game ever". This game doesnt bring anything new or revolutionary to the table. "Greatest game ever" title belongs to games like "Mario 64" "Zelda" or even GTAIII. When GTAIII was first released it blew my mind. Damn that game was fresh and different. But Damn, I cant say Im not enjoying GTAIV.
But that doesn't mean you have to "illegally" download them.
It's called RENTING. If you only watch a movie once and never again then RENT the movie. Don't be an AZZ. Pay for what you want or what you take.

1)Delete any content on your Ps3 that you can live without. like episodes of any shows, videos, game demos you no longer play, even instals of other games like GT5 Prologue(i did), but not your saved game data. You can always reinstall the game later.
2) Delete the GTAIV "game install", but not the saved game data.
3) Now start the game and reinstall GTAIV. I turned off the "Auto save" feature in the game, not sure if that helped me any but I was ...
I powered down the PS3 and it still didnt download until I ejected the disc then put it back in and started the game. Then the same mssg "blah blah, must download new version, blah blah" so I hit "X" and it all went smooth from there!
So dont give up on the patch just try again.
I also deleted a lot of content off my PS3 60gb hard drive and deleted the "GTAIV install and then reinstalled the game and it hasnt froze yet(going on 5 days now).

You have to be playing the game to find out. Stop posting and go play. Its at about "20%".
My was working fine on single player but now it wont get past the loading screen unless I "disable" the internet connection in the settings menu. But that means I cant play online! I want to play ONLINE, DAMN IT!
And it also would "hiccup" quite a bit but once I turned the "Network connection" to "Disabled" it worked fine.
*Just stay disconnected from the internet and the "Information board" while playing(unless playing online) single player missions and you will be fine.
*No more "hiccups" or freezing!
Oh well we have to start somewhere, right?
It does hiccup quite a bit. But it doesnt ruin the game for me. But I do wish they would fix it. Until then Im enjoying the game just fine!
