When they changed from Squaresoft to Square-Enix...

Seriously, go look at a list of games for Squaresoft:

Then look at a list of games for when they became Square-Enix (don't count the ones that were re-released Square games by Square Enix):

For the simple fact that of the plethora of gamers out there, they all have different skill levels.

I always put my game on the hardest difficulty possible from the get go because it offers the greatest challenge to me, which is something I like, it makes everything more rewarding to me.

But I also realize that there are a lot of players out there that aren't as skilled as I am (and many that are way more skilled), and they can't complete a game o...

Dead Space was scarier and better executed than some of the titles they had listed IMO.

Where they artificially create horror because they don't let you use a flashlight and gun at the same time...what a stupid gameplay element.

Almost as bad as the RE games not letting you walk and shoot at the same time.

off topic from your actual post...but dude you've never seen a British pound symbol before?

With the arcade selling at $200 right now I find it really hard to believe that this would be the bundle price. That would mean they are essentially giving the Natal away...

...because all though Sony has made failures of late, they don't belong anywhere near a list of top 5 worst decisions in video game industry history. Ir at least that's what I think.

I think the PS2 should be on this list. I mean, if you think about it, just going by importance in general (and not just gaming), the PS2 is what ushered in the DVD era. I know before the PS2 there was no way in heck I was willing for fork over 200 or so bucks for a DVD player. But the PS2 came along and offered a DVD player and game console.

I'd say the inclusion of the DVD player into the gaming consoled revolutionized the way the public went about media, bringing ...

I don't know, I may be in the minority here, but I loved the game when there were 151 pokemon, heck even 250 was alright. But right now there are just too many darn pokemon to remember.

Keep some of the favorites and make some new ones, but cap it off at like 200-250.

Also, one thing that they absolutely need to do, is get rid of evolving pokemon through trades. I hate the idea that I have to trade with someone to evolve my pokemon to the next level, especially whe...

Although I'm starting to get sick of Hollywood rebooting old movies and TV series, I think gaming should steal a page out of their book and reboot some old game franchises.

I'm not talking about sequels, I'm talking about taking the original game/story and following the storyline buy changing/adding to the gameplay and updating the graphics.

I know a lot of people would hate on this, but there are so many games and franchises that a lot of people missed from back in ...

1. Starcraft 2
2. Diablo 3

(Well, I guess it doesn't have to be a 'gaming' computer per se since Blizzard keeps their reqs relatively low)

Because I do the same exact thing as the writer regarding reading the manual on the drive home from buying a game. It's stupid and dangerous, but I'm a hell of a multi-tasker and I like to be informed so that I can get the game started the second I walk in the door.

Also, another point for physical manuals is the ability to read the controls and stuff WHILE playing the game without pausing it and such. I do this all the time in sports games and during story moments in other gam...

Sony itself did nothing to go out of it's way to help Nintendo. Rather Sony's invention and public sale of the Daul Shock controller more than 1 year prior to the filing of the prosecutions' patent application made that patent invalid as there was prior art to prove that it was not patentable.

P.S. The patent examiner who examined this case and allowed/issued the patent to the prosecution looks like an idiot now, and for good reason.

I can't tell, if it's not then this article is lame.

On a side note, what is really surprising is that "retro games" from the Atari, NES, SNES and Genesis have aged a million times better than the first generation of 3-d games of the playstation, saturn and n64.

Was so freaking hard.

I bet 95% of the gamers now a days would get half way through the first level, die for the 100th time and then complain that there isn't a checkpoint or mid game save.

The game could have basically been done on the PS3 using the six axis (no need for move).

I mean the motion control was only used to perform moves. Basically you just followed instructions on the screen using motion controls, this could have easily been done with the six axis (kinda like planting bombs in Killzone 2).

But my favorite opening game cinematic is for the original Wild Arms. If only because it has the best opening music.

...but I'd rather it not be Heavenly Sword 2. I thought Heavenly Sword was great as it is, and it doesn't need a sequel. Too many games these days enjoy good success and then proceed to run them into the ground with a million sequels.

I'd like to see them do another original IP that is just as awesome as Heavenly Sword was.
