So you have no reaction to; why the trend of injecting homosexual content in games all of a sudden?
i.e. in a game about the end of humanity (TLOU 2), is homosexuality really a prevailing theme to inject? what about gender fluidity (that was in TLOU 2 as well), or showing strong pregnant females going out to fight (also in TLOU 2)? Wouldn't you protect the remaining human females (particularly pregnant) if your race is near extinction?
It's not about tolerating homosexuality, that is a narrow argument I hear from people not willing to have the conversation or understand the perspective.
if you want to virtue signal your openness to inclusivity, consider: this world is filled with people of different cultures, races, ethnicities and religions. If you take an established franchise, inject homosexual content, and have no care for other people's traditions and reactions to this, you're not open/in...
"If" it's due to homosexual content, it's worth making the argument that this is popping up in too many first party sony games -> TLOU, Horizon, Spiderman, ... using an existing franchise, to inject homosexual content in the sequel. Feel free to discuss, but don't paint that perspective as homophobic. That's lazy and inconsiderate.
However, until it's confirmed, it's just speculation.
MS and Sony both pay for exclusivity. This is a fact. They have both used the same tactics. However what MS is doing, which Sony isn't, is buying a major studio with a large established IP (COD), and asking the industry to trust them that they won't make it exclusive; asking in ways where they are exposing themselves as liars.
Also, I do believe that Gamepass is a detrimental shift in the industry that would cause games to lower in value. It's like the shift...
Arcane? - animation Castlevania? - animation Sonic? - like it! Several Resident evil movies? - live action were not adaptation and pretty bad Mortal Kombat? - like it! Werewolves Within? - what??? Detective Pikachu? - not adaptation from video game
So far we have Mortal Kombat, the first Tomb Raider and maybe Sonic (after they listened to their fans after their first teaser). IMO they hold their own against other film/tv at time of release.
The other titles I'm reading were maybe liked by fans, but were mostly flops to non-fans.
Playstation excitement is low when it comes to PS5. In the past, when Sony released a new console, they would yearly (once or twice) hold a large conference showing; new game engine they are building, new games in development within the next 1-3 years. Show an Uncharted clip, Metal gear clip, Killzone clip, Little Big Planet clip, ...
No doubt Sony has a lot of games in the works, but they are not showcasing anything.
Agreed. I'll still play their games, I'm sure they'll be great.
I get there's COVID, but we're talking about games releasing in 2022, for a console that has already broke sales records. This sounds more like COVID is an excuse vs. a reason.
Or, they should explicitly explain why. i.e. "due to COVID, we've decided to make these games cross gen in order to help with profits."
Without acknowledging, they sound like a politician -> promising 1 thing and delivering something else. If they explained, maybe their fans would understand better vs. "oh by the way, it's delayed, and oh by the way, it's cross gen".
- It is not "totally restricted" - As restricted as it is, ps5 has broke records in sales - We are talking about games with 2022 release time frames. About a year away! Give me a break.
@XiKurapikaKurta I dont think this is the same. I think there are things the physical drive should be able to do that regular bluray player drives just can't. like limits in size they can read, or speed they can spin & read the disks, or size/length of the laser, or how data is written to the disk, etc.
BluRay drive hardware were used to play 3D and non-3D bluray data video. So I can understand software patching that in.
lol @Neonridr ... an industry source claims this might be possible, you post a comment that you would be wary... and you get a disagree on that?! If you disagree, then you're saying you 100% believe in the article.
@Goldby ... by your explanation, it sounds like PS3 should be able to get a UHD update. I'm no expert, but I dont think so. At the least, I would be 'wary' if someone said it could be updated.

Maybe our loss, I wonder what the reason is for banning the game.
Is that what it is? Speculating or it's confirmed? A flag or a main character?

We can barely find an adaptation that holds its own as a great film/show for non-fans alike. What movies/shows am I missing here?
why is MK1 not a good adaptation?
live action is harder to pull off, I think that's what we're talking about here
@VenomUK
Super Mario Bros -> the 1993 version?
@Lifexline
Mortal Kombat I agree
