Virtual Console is just a heading. Stop thinking in such narrow terms.

Agreed. Or Pi, softmodded Wii, etc, etc.

These dumbass comments I see everywhere. You'd "probably buy a Switch for Panzer" but ABOTW, Odyssey, Rabbids, Splatoon 2, etc, etc, etc don't warrant the same reaction? Besides that, who buys a console for one Saturn game!?

That's a £2.99 mobile phone game if ever I saw one. Pass.

Ever read such a childish headline?

Yet doing record breaking numbers this time round, so...

Skyward Sword was arguably my favourite 3D Zelda of all time, until that is the behemoth A Breath of the Wild landed. I honestly think I could not go back now to that dungeon on dungeon mechanic of old since the open, experimentation and tackle everything in your own way which ABOTW had given us.

I'd say Mario 64 (ntsc) running on a modded RGB N64 (ntsc) via a CRT is the definitive way to play said game, if you should be so lucky. The best compromise is probably playing it on a softmodded Wii.

The hell it is! Odyssey is everything Sunshine wished it were, and I'm saying this as a massive Nintendo 'fan boy'. Better is Isle Delfino DLC were released via Odyssey if anything.

No. I have 15 games, both retail and Indie. Many, many more I'm interested in but don't have the time between work, family and friends AND other interests/hobbies.

You kidding? Between retail, Indie and VC (of sorts) I can't keep up. Feels like every month between 2-3 games I feel are essential get released amongst others.

Drop this nonsense! Sunshine was a good game, but a poor Mario. Since that we've had Galaxy 1 & 2, SM3DW and now Odyssey. I'd say we've been spoiled for choice. If anything I'd like to see Odyssey be given some more DLC as it still has plenty of mileage.

Define "don't really do too much". I care what a game does as opposed to what it doesn't do (funnily).

You say that from a position of authority and not just as an armchair pundit I hope. I'm not telling you what to do, but if I were playing MK8, ABOTW or Odyssey (for example) and my overriding thought was 'terrible textures' I'd probably consider myself jaded and get out of videogames all together.

2262d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

People are pointing out this is disappointing, and fair enough, but as for the old 'underpowered' argument rearing it's ugly head again...please. Odyssey, MK8, Skyrim, Mario + Rabbids, Arms, BOTW, that's just a handful I've played enough to testify, if you believe these games are lacking in ANY department I suggest you may be too jaded at this point to enjoy videogames full stop.

I wonder if those negging on this one particular review actually READ it or rather just down voted it based on it scoring 7.5? My guess would be the latter, which in case you few still can't be arsed it critiques frustrating camera and controls being the reason it can be a rather frustrating experience.

Visuals, visuals, visuals. All you've talked about here is visuals, you do know that, don't you? Besides, while the WiiU wasn't as powerful as 'rival' consoles of the time, I don't remember playing (for example) MK8, SM3DW, Bayonetta 2, Tropical Freeze, Smash, etc, etc and being anything other than blown away by the visuals AND performance.
