I think you hit the nail right on the head, and it is a love it or hate it game. Of the reviews that are favorable I've picked up on the particular reviewer liking it for being different from genre standards, and while acknowledging flaws, find enough that is refreshingly different to still enjoy. Another thing I'm picking up on is the concern for the game's longevity, entertaining for now (those that like).
What if the idea was for something of a hybrid traditional console and something in line with something like Onlive with cloud streaming and saving. I've heard the Stream code name thrown around, and it falls in line, although if that's the case it suggests a subscription based service, but having retail disks would make that optional. I'm intrigued to see what comes of it.
I've been waiting for articles like this, although have to agree with many of the previous posts suggesting some glaring omissions, oh well.
Guess this is part of what they meant when they said things could or will get worse before they get better. Such a shame.
I'm still interested in getting one, not sure which version though (probably still just the wifi version, don't need to be constantly connected).
Wrap your head in plastic, tie a rope around your necks, jump off a building, see plenty of things that are more productive for you to do.
People should just take matters into their own hands, let the world collapse on these fools, and see if they can run from that. End these numbnuts, it's the only way to resolve this, that's actually something (for the people) that everyone can benefit from.
Agreed, although would not complain of more MGS or something in that universe.
ummm...don't you mean air.
Nah, reimbursed for what? What kind of dumbass thought up this POS article... hmmm I wonder.
The bitching is not over not having access to a free service, but that the downtime is most likely the result of beef between hackers and SONY. If you are so supportive of these @sses actions (I'm assuming) because you're a xbox fan, and aren't affected. Would your tune be the same if M$ was their target, as they are just as bad if not worse than SONY. If these Anon-asses had done this on LIVE M$ would certainly shaft every paying XBL member more than they already do, and try to e...
Play single player, watch BDs/DVDs, surf the internet, listen to music, local multiplayer (why I've always wished it was included, when there is MP), what else? There's plenty just nothing associated with PSN until it's fixed.
How about the people being affected by this garbage, hunt these Anon-mother-fuckers down, and kill these bitches (and anyone associated with) off... PLEASE disregard that last part, as I know some of you out there might actually be unstable enough to try. Are these morons actually doing anything other than pissing off SONY's consumers. I'm not anymore unhappy with SONY as I was when I decided to pay for their products whether someone else felt they were overpriced or not, in fact the ...
I'm a console only gamer (well mostly), and I'm satisfied with things, when they're not being interrupted by tools. If I ever feel the need for more, I'll spend my money, but there aren't tons of new experiences coming out in new games regardless of platform (whatever coming along being few and far between). Aside from that, the industry is trying to figure out how to make gaming into this a la carte style service type of model, and I'm not in the least excited for som...
Well if the Wii2 or whatever they decide to call it, does have the backwards compatibility (with not only the disk based stuff, but the games I have from the Wii Shop as well) I may be tempted, and then I'll have all my consoles on relatively even ground. Other than that I guess I'm done, I like the games, etc., but the direction that the industry has been moving in, I don't think I could get into another generation of consoles (maybe one of the current/upcoming portable consoles)...
I have no problem showing patience, but trying to find out whether things were going south on my end or theirs, and not hearing anything... plus it doesn't help having a bunch of tools running around effing everything up, and trying to lump everyone in with them.
I can't wait, I loved Oblivion, and Morrowind. Sadly these are the only 2 Elder Scrolls games I've played, so far (as I intend to add Skyrim to that list as well).
Good read, and exactly the reason that I passed on DA2. While I enjoy the ME franchise, I got into Dragons Age because it was different, then Bioware halls off and does their best to turn DA into Mass Effect. Well, at least I have Elder Scrolls 5 to look forward to.
I'm excited for this. I love the Twisted Metal games (even though I'm not great at them), it is a blast, and so freaking demented. This is exactly the kind of game I like crowding around a t.v. with my friends on (even though our gatherings seem fewer and further between).
Well as a newcomer to the series, I just picked up Y4 on a whim, I'm really enjoying it, love the stories and the characters.
