For months all I've been hearing is how much people hurt the industry when they go out and buy the game used at GameStop. So, instead of buying it used, people just went and subscribed to GameFly and rented the game which hurt the industry a lot more because then they're not buying it at all.
I just wanted to let you know that you guys have the best gaming PodCast available. I've listened to 1up.com, EGM, OXM, GamingSteve.com, and your guys PodCast is the best! You guys are really informed and are actually gamers who know what they are doing.
Gamers need to stop saying "Oh, ignore Jack T. an he'll go away eventually!" mainly because, he won't! We need to have an attorney on our side who fighst for our rights and makes a bunch of ridiculous claims against him.
EA didn't ask Thompson to side with them though... He just did it as a publicity stunt, because, he knows if EA took ofer T2 it wouldn't make GTA any less violent.
He couldn't really be their lawyer anyways. Seeing as that he is under a show cause order right now and also has the possibility of being disbarred. So, I'm not sure what his angle is in this proposal. Most likey it's just a publicity stunt.
He only owns 1 share though. It's just enough so that he can attend and speak at all the stock holder meetings.
Just block him. As for harassing at parties and what not, that's for the parents to deal with. And also, i agree with everyone else here that MS Customer Support is like talking to a monkey with cerebral palsey (look it up). As soon as you get connected you need to immediately ask to talk to a superviser. You might have to wait longer, but there the only english speaking people in the building.
Is it really news every time one store sells out of a console? If this is so, the Wii should be in the news every single day. Plus, I just went to target, GameStop, and BestBuy yesterday (their all in the same alotment) and each had HUGE stacks of PS3s but had one or two Wiis. This is not news!
The only thing I do agree with is that they only drop the price of a used game by $5. (Ex. Halo 3 new: $60, Halo 3 used: $55) I'm of course going to pay $5 more to get my copy new. As for selling PC Games, GameStop is a business not apeople pleaser. They sell what they know will sell.
I wished they wouldn't have won. I was really hoping Carbon was gonna win. O, well. I don't see why last year they were so upset about losing the $100K when they signed a contract for $1Million.
I'm an Xbox 360 owner/FanBoy, and Microsoft deserves to be outsold. Sure, Bioshock and Halo 3 are great games, but what do the games matter if you have a piece of junk console. Xbox 360's are showing 3 red light failure rates of up to 33% on some polls. This is rediculous. Microsoft needs to fix their console and fast.
