IMO, better to spend 400$ at launch. Buy a 1 year GOLD subscription for 35$ ( or for 2 years ) because there is always a deal for GOLD subscription. Especially for Gamepass - 3$ for 1 month LOL ( of course, buy a multiple monthly subs ).
