In europe you get both figures (Ryu and Viper) with both consoles.
So everybody is happy.
The only difference is the blu ray disc for ps3 and a regular dvd for 360. (the extra disc that is)
If singleplayer stops then i stop. I like a multiplayergame now and then but, there is no replacing a good singleplayer experience.
It's like playing through a movie.
No multi can make you experience that.
People this is getting old.
Each year around christmas its the same old shouting, is the ps3 doomed, will the 360 still have a chance, bla bla bla.

I don't know about the rest of the world but here in Belgium the game is already available in stores.
I went to Gamemania today and noticed the game was out on all platforms, the standard and the special edition (only on 360 it seems so far)The special edition is a beauty with a gold/black steel case with in the middle the 007 logo.
But i didn't dare to buy it because i haven't read any reviews so far.
I live in Belgium, and i hate translated games!
I will NEVER play them in my own language, i only play them in english.

Like many people pointed out in 2011 the 360 will be 6 years old. A normal lifespan for any console (so this incl. Sony and Nintendo as well). So i don't understand the attacks on MS? Of course Sony would sell better then the 360, it is a more popular and well known brandname.Playstation has been around for many years, and Microsoft is in comparisation rather new to the scene. Sony had many more years to build a more then solid name for itself.

They are in no way direct competition because they are on different consoles. And so they will offer almost no trouble to each other.
If they would be available on both consoles then of course ng2 would suffer from the larger fanbase of mgs.

@ Djeess, all this bull about who will win the console war is really getting OLD! Chances are big ps3 will win, but if you have half a brain you would realise that i will NEVER be like the previous generation. 120mil. and counting for the ps2 to in the 20mil. for the xbox. Like ps360rocks says: 2 years is a long enough time for a sequel. Everything important has already been done with the prequel. Look at resistance 2 for the ps3, it looks like it will be better, and more important huger then the first one. And i think this will also happen with GoW2.
But like all big sequels it will indeed not have the wow factor.

I was in a Bart Smit last week and then the Fnac and Intertoys and in every store where at least 5 to 10 Wii in stock.
And this has been so since new year. There is absolutely no shortage in Belgium or Holland.
The price drop went into effect on the 14th of march.
The charts are of the 15th.
You can see in total hardware the 360 went up from 42.330 (last week) to 51.334.
For one day this doesn't seem too bad?
I have mine since laucnhday in 2005. Along with a couple of friends.
And we play around 25 hours a week easily.
And we (four of us) are still on our first 360.
Is this luck? Maybe, but i can't wonder how much people just say they have rrod to sound interesting and to join the bandwagon, or to just bash the 360.
If gamedevelopers are already complaining about discspace in the very beginning of the Blu Ray era, even if they haven't used the Double Layer yet doesn't bode well for the future for BR.This is not the first time developers complained about discspace, i read in interviews from the makers of FFXIII and also from the GOW3 creators also that the had problems with the size of BR. The graphics are amazing but i HATE the slow reponse of the controls.
If it had the controls of the Resistance games it would be the best fps available right now.
But gameplay and thus controls are more important then pretty pics.
Now i personally see a good but not great fps. A shame, certainly if you look at the development time it had.
