Both companies will use each other's technology when it makes good business sense. Both companies will make money on licensing fees. Fanboys, don't wear your emotions on your shoulders....business is business!!!
I'm not discrediting Naughty Dog's talent but this is what happens when you have fierce competition. You get quality. That's why it's good Microshaft is in the console market. Hopefully other developers will be as classy as Naughty Dog, opening a new age of sharing and collaboration so all gamer development houses can produce quality work like Uncharted 2.
Why do fanboys defend large companies that only care about increasing shareholder value. If someone has the balls to call out the short comings of a company, I applaud them. It's not like they're giving away consoles and games for free.

You console gamers crack me up! Killzone 2 is a great looking game but don't tell me Killzone looks better than Crysis if you have not had the opportunity to play it if full DirectX 10 on a decent spec PC. It's obvious that this engine had to be dumbed down to run on the current generation of consoles.

Whether Resistance 2 is an innovative FPS is irrelevant. Console gaming innovation in general is finally doing what PC games have had for the last 3-5 years. The whole FPS genre has stagnated! To say Resistance 2 or even Killzone 2 will redefine FPS gaming is the biggest joke! Unfortunately most people don't have a capable PC to play games like Crysis at Ultra High setting, in full DirectX 10 at 2560X1600. Or even Battlefield 2 on a server with 64 or more players. They need to get the game out the door to meet the commitments of the shareholders and get the return on the investment. Who really cares. The best version will be on the PC. There's enough good titles coming out for the 360 to keep the fanboys busy this fall!

Sumadyan - All hardware manufacturers that want Blu ray drives in their products must pay Sony a licensing fee. This allows a licensee to use specifications solely to develop, manufacture, and sell the BD products, plus to have the right to use the BD logo. That's the way business works.
