Calm down /b/ro. It's just a dumb poll, and JC Denton already lost so obviously it doesn't matter anymore. Deus Ex ftw.

How are you supposed to get to the internet and download firefox or what have you if IE isn't bundled with Windows?

This is the such a stupid lawsuit. The EU just wants more money. How many lawsuits have they put up against MS now?

Taiwan isn't part of China. It has declared it's independence, and an entire US naval fleet is standing in the way of China taking it back. Taiwanese government is the remnants of the Kuomintang, which was the political party that opposed the Chinese Communist Party.

So while my computer is made by East Asians, it is made by Taiwanese, not what the entire west refers to as China.

While i will not dispute that the new macbooks are pretty awesome (albiet pricey), Warhammer is not a graphics intensive game. The fact that the macbooks can run warhammer is not a milestone.

The point of the arena was it doesnt take a grind. You only get a few rated games a week.
If you think the arena system ever involved a grind then youve never done the pvp grind pre-honor points system.

Besides, you can't say that the major problem with WoW is a change in PvP. Most people agree that WoW has pretty bad pvp, because its almst entirely based on who has better gear. Hopefully Warhammer will have great PvP, but I was expecting better things from Conan and ...

Microsoft's true domain remains the OS and Office Suites, both of which are sustaining their trysts into other areas, and they are nowhere near dieing.

The Xbox department is finally making a profit. (They recently posted their first gains over an entire year in the console area, and this success will only grow, as they are new into the console business)

While the Zune hasn't taken off yet, all that is required is a drop in prices below the iPod and a good market...

Microsoft withdrew their bid to buy Yahoo a long time ago.
This withdrawal was followed almost immediately by a jump in Microsoft's stock and a drop in Yahoo's stock, the drop in Yahoo's stock has not stopped, as it is currently much lower than the bid per share that Yahoo's CEO claimed ''underfalued the company.''

Yahoo's stubborness proved a good business move for Microsoft and a potentially fatal (Unless they do something different their stock will continue to fall) m...

The reason developers are making games that push hardware to the limit is because they are heavily backed by the companies making the hardware. For instance, Crysis was heavily backed by Nvidia. Sure only 50% of the people that would have played it could, but if Nvidia sells 25% more 8000 series GPUs they will come out on top. Plus, with all the piracy, it's probably a better strategy to try and build games with steep enough requirements that they require better, more expensive hardware an...

His negative feedback was almost purely technical issues. It's an MMO in it's first month of release who's initial subscriber base is much larger than anticipated (what was it like 400,000 preorders?). Of course it's going to have technical issues. WoW still has technical issues from time to time several years after it's release.

FF7 had and might still have my favorite story line from any game. Lets ignore gameplay, graphics, midi songs, etc. Sephiroth=greatest character ever.

PC gaming and Console gaming are like apples and oranges (hooray for cliches...)
But honestly, when I buy a new game for my xbox I'm expecting something completely different from what I was expecting when I bought Bioshock. I personally prefer PC gaming in every way, and I do wish that more titles were coming out for PC, but it shouldn't be just taking the big name console games and making PC versions. Assassin's Creed was made into a PC game with very little success, and I'm pretty s...

Hmm, I hope blizzard releases a Diablo 3, but given it's success with WoW, a pay to play game, I wouldn't be suprised if it was a pay to play MMO version of Diablo. I hope not, as blizzard games are like crack to me, and I'd end up paying for it.

I was hoping for a little more diversity. Nintendo is all mario and zelda. PS is all GTA and Gran Turismo. PC is all Sims and Blizzard games...

World of Warcraft is the most impressive here because its not 10 million copies bought. Its 10 million people paying 15$ every single month, + about 40 bucks every year for an expansion (Blizzard announced that it will release on expansion a year for the next few years). Thats a lot of money...
Lets go Conan or Warhammer, break...

"All I know is, I got Vista and is works fine, this article is opinion not fact. And there where plenty of articles like this when XP itself came out and the previous other platform where being dropped. "

MS didn't quit supporting Windows 98 until July 2006. Thats about 5 years after the October 2001 release of XP. Yes, it is expected that eventually MS would quit supporting XP in favor of Vista, but given that users had 5 years to make the switch from 98 to XP, I...
