None of those games mentioned there have any "core appeal".Quite a few of those are Rail-Shooters which everyone knows are very last-gen. They stopped being fun a while ago. I think what makes games lack their "core appeal" is when they're on the Wii. Twilight Princess is as close as it gets to "hardcore" on the Wii.
You can't compare MGS4 to UC2. Both INCREDIBLE games in my opinion, but you can't say that one got it right and the other got it wrong. MGS4 has vary complex story you need to follow, so the use of cutscenes is mandatory; not for the sake of action, but for the sake of the story. You follow? UC2 has cutscenes to convey the actions which make up for the lack of story. Yes LACK of story. I said it. Alan Wake and Assassin's Creed II?! Those games shouldn't be on this list. Their visuals are "okay", bit it's not like they can compete with Uncharted II. Does anyone still agree that MGS4 is still the best looking console game?
It's inexcusable. This news has singlehandedly changed my mind. I will NOT be getting this game. Infinity Ward can kiss my ass and DIAF.
Knowing Nintendo and how much they hate their systems being "tinkered" with, they will probably just release an update to block it... Just like they did with Action Replay and the DVD channel on the Wii. If it's Homebrew, Nintendo hates it and keeps it away from us like the plague.

It was DEVELOPED on PCs (obviously), but it wasn't "ported" to consoles. The game engine is a heavily modified RE4 engine which was designed and modded to run on consoles -NOT PCs. Nintendo can afford anything at this point. It's the best-selling console of this generation... Though I can't figure out why.
Whenever the PS3 gets a firmware update, it's always something anesthetic. I mean, It's great that our themes can look even better now, but seriously... We really just want features that can aid our gameplay. Y'know, things like XMB in-game voice-chat, or even an update that lets us play our XMB music during any game.
