Sony and MS don't consider Wii a competitor because they know they CAN'T beat it. We all know damn well that if 360 or PS3 were the ones winning the war right now they would be bragging about it like there's no tomorrow. Wii will only be a competitor to them when they start beating it and that seems unlikly to ever happen.

Nintendo's gurenteed to announce at least 2 new big titles for late 08 or early 09. Even after that there are still big franchises that havent been on Wii yet like: Kirby, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, and Pikmin.
It is obvious that this reviewer just sucks at the game. The Wii Wheel works perfectly and even if you do hate it there are 4 other controller schemes to choose from.
I also really don't know how the multiplayer can be broken its almost exactly the same as past games except with bikes and more racers for additional depth.
Finally, while I agree that the online would be better with voice chat, it still runs 12-player races completely lag free and loads in just seconds...
But i've never had to wait more than 10 seconds for anything in the online and its been absolutly lag free.
That was a pretty bad review. They did not even mention online play and gave the game a 9 for trivial faults which most people will not agree with anyway. They also failed to comment on this game's perfect soundtrack.
If you ask me this can only be good news for online gaming. As long as we can still play the online we already have for free it won't bother me.

Yes cause Pokemon is clearly a fad. It makes millions over a decade after its debut and you call it a fad? If the Wii was a fad it would have stopped selling out every week months ago.

Another fanboy clearly in denial. The Wii has plenty of great games on the way. To name a few that come to mind, Diaster Day of Crisis, Mario Kart Wii, Animal Crossing and the almost gurenteed GOTY Super Smash Bros.Brawl.
Nintendo has already released Prime 3, Twilight Princess, and Mario Galaxy, all of which have had amazing reviews, not to mention SSBB which is less than a month away. So what if Nintendo makes fun games like Wii Sports and Wii Fit for another audience you still have the hard-core franchises to come back to. You call the wii the end of nintendo? I call it a bright new beginning.
The amount of features and content in this game is amazing it is looking to be one of the greatest games of our time.
The Wii and Ps3 are both great systems but the PS3 is overpriced and hasn't got a single game that interests me that isnt on 360. The Wii on the other hand has many quality hardcore and casual titles along with many more on the way.

I really agree about Halo but everybody already knew that those games are the most over rated of all time. I always thought Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon were underated.
The amount of fanboys in denial on here is pathetic. The Wii has no good game besides Mario Zelda and Metroid? There is still Brawl, Mario Kart as far as announced first party games go, as well as games like Medal of Honour (which has recieved some higher reviews than Mass Effect). Half the people who talk trash about the quality of Wii's games have never played anything other than a FPS. A real gamer opens their eyes and plays games they enjoy no matter what system it is on.

I love how everyone is still saying Wii is a fad. People were sayings that a year ago and Nintendo is still selling Wii's faster then they can make them. All those fanboys who called the Wii Remote a gimmick have also been proven wrong as controls have been revolutionized on FPS, sports games, racing games, and adventure games. Gamers and non-gamers have amazing software to play on Wii and that is why it is guranteed to win the console war.
The Wii has no good games eh? Mario Galaxy is the highest rated game of this generation, and has incredible depth, gameplay, and graphics. For those fanboys who are still in denial GROW UP.
The whole Wii has no games subject is pointless. While Nintendo is working on their next Mario, Zelda, and Pikmin, we still have great looking 3rd party works like de Blob, Dawn of the New World, Skate It, Mega Man 9, and Guitar Hero: World Tour for the holidays. Oh and we can't forget The Conduit and MadWorld, which are both looking fantastic in 2009.
