and while you do have gaming addicts..i would not compare them to tobacco companies or the ones who shoot the next person they see for losing in a game but rather that WoW player - calling in to work, neglecting kids/spouse/gf/errands/friends , skipping school, not doing homework & so on just so that they can keep playing..consistently doing those things is more of an addict vs what the media deems it to be..yes u gotta draw the line s...
and x-game chat should be ditched..the idea is dumb and instead integrate skype into it!! now that would b a feature worth having! and maybe a great selling point? but yah it'll nvr happen sadly enough

but it can be detrimental to a kids grades or work output if that makes ne sense..i have a couple friends who would skip class n hmwk to play halo 3 because they were addicted..lead to academic probation n so on n so forth...look @ WoW perfect example of how gaming can be addicted..can lead to ruin relationships like an alcohol n drugs can
