Could be. I first played 8, then I tried 7 and it looked very ugly for me (I finished it anyways). But the graphical improvement from 7 to 8 was huge

My favourite FF game, I'm still trying to figure it out why people love more FF7 instead of FF8...
Basically, game was broken when released. I played the game and experienced this major problems:
- main protagonist killed after "missing" when just playing with another character because I wanted him to rest a bit
- body to check left under the floor on the cabin where you have to go to check with Doc. So basically I am stuck there.

Yes, it was only released in Japan. The gamecube version was just a "translated" from the N64 cartridge
Emm which is the real innovation here ? Nintendo should move on to new IPs or real new games, not just improved. AC begun on N64, then on GC, NDS, Wii and I suspect the game will be more or less the same with every new interation.
Prototype 2 was far better than the first one
music is great. Last week was Nobuo Uematsu with the Distant Worlds orchestra and it was AMAZING to hear "Don't Be Afraid" from this game.
