Sounds like what they should have done with the 3DS in the first place. Basically a handheld pokedex that lets you encounter wild pokemon in the 'real' world; battle and collect them and also encounter other 'real' players (i.e. trainers) and have live battles.
Basically playing pokemon for real, training them and possibly even having 'league' tournaments for people around the world. Think of a real-world MMO game.
Not really into ...
What I always found hilarious is that their main argument for the high price of games was always "We have to create artwork for the boxes, package the games, cost of cd/dvd media, factor in shipping costs to the stores, etc...."
Yet if that were the case then the digital downloads should have been much cheaper than the physical media versions. Are they?? Of course not ;)
Greed is greed no matter how you attempt to justify it.
I'd have to agree, M$, Google, Yahoo and the others are all jumping on these big PR spins to save face but the smart bet says they fully assisted and cooperated in the background.
When I read the title of this article I immediately thought it would somehow be related to the mission where Poppy Mitchell was filmed taking it in the rear. ;) Oh Lindsay....
Sorry but I see this as a simple gimmick to raise initial sales. All the tech is still in there and what's to stop them from flipping it back on in a year. I think I'll just wait to see how this plays out in the future.
This just continues to get better and better.... how can they possibly get this many things SO wrong?!?!
With all the bad publicity already, I'm betting M$ drops their DRM policy; the problem is it's in there so you know they'll just re-activate it down the road once their numbers are back up.
As soon as this practice is accepted by the 'general' gaming community, the next console will be even MORE restrictive. Hope this one burns up in their faces.
This would be how they're combating used games. New games will be registered to your xbox user. If you try to play a used game, it will recognize that you aren't the original purchaser. ;)
I fell for it once on release..., I don't care how their videos and screens look, I wont fall for it again.
Are all the maps still boring copypasta or did they actually take the time to create real landscapes? That alone would be a massive indicator of whether I would even consider logging in again.
I haven't touched my PS3 in months, PC gaming appears to be dying, I still play my Wii. Safe money for me is on Wii-U. Hoping for a new Mario Kart to go with it ^^
Because anything sexual is bad in our society; we need to stick to our morals (Like violence, blood, gore, guts, death, assault, murder, anarchy, theft, dismemberment and occasionally..., ponies). We do have an image to uphold after all....

Cloud is the biggest rip-off fad going around right now and personally, I hope they go this route and it bites them in the arse.
They'll see a MAJOR profit loss especially since they'll lose the 'used' gamers which, sorry to say, is a Huge market share. Consumers are getting fed up with getting less and less for their money so they're become more careful about their spending habits.
I love my PS2 and my PS3 is Ok, so I can easily sign ...
Sorry but NO 'solution' is "acceptable" when it comes to used games.
If you bought a game, it's yours and you have the right to give or sell it to someone else when you get tired of it.
As soon as E/A started doing this, I stopped supporting them. I can just as easily stop supporting full consoles as well. Games are fun but I certainly don't 'Need' to play them and the greed train has gotten out of control.
Who the hell are they to say you can't sell a game you bought to someone else? I'm going to laugh when these measures come out.... By restricting used games, piracy is going to climb higher and/or people will be finding new hobbies.
Consumers are tired of the blatant greed.
All these articles will do us push to insure that they keep the pre-made DLC off the discs. DLC is a ripoff, always has been, always will be. Not the most *cough* "gamers" care.
I played from beta to WotLK and this game got boring FAST. They just did too many things wrong. The graphics were true blizzard and it was a lot of fun at first, but they just made it too simplistic and didn't focus on a lot of areas they should have. This game could have lasted a LOT longer....
"This is not a pick up and play fast-paced shooter as MechWarrior Online harkens back to the original PC MechWarrior games with simulation controls."
Ok now thats got my interest! I played the original a LOT and loved it! Couldn't stand it anymore after M$ got ahold of it, the game just didn't feel the same as the original.
I find it really hard to look forward to another nintendo console when my Wii-U was such a disappointment. It's seeing more dust and playtime and most of that has been in standard wii mode. Unless the new one is fully backwards compatible and has a LOT more virtual console titles as well, I highly doubt I'll be throwing them even more money.
