I absolutely agree with you. The ultimate responsibility falls onto the developers themselves. But I never read anything saying they needed help or were producing something so mediocre. This makes all of the delays quite useless. All of this time they wasted on Haze they could have been working on TS4.
And I do believe one good thing will come from this. FR will learn a valuable lesson and hopefully, hopefully TS4 will not be the next Haze.
I'm saying he said he played it and he's using this for hits. It's called a lie buddy.
Try not to believe everything you read on the internet.
For Timesplitters 4.
Also, this isn't even a review. This is just someone reading the IGN review, and posting this crud on their site hopeful for web hits. Hell, he even admits he won't have the real review for another week. I could have a review in before this guy.
Did anyone here ever read any preview that would make you assume it was going to be like this?
First, off, I'm not trying to say that this game doesn't deserve the reviews it gets. It breaks my heart that this came from Free Radical, but if it's that bad, then it's that bad.
What pisses me off is that no one, NO ONE gave any sort of hint that the game wasn't that good. And now that they tell us this, it makes me wonder if they ever gave the developers any feedbac...
All of that from a demo? I'll admit the demo wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't that bad.
It's tough to base a judgment for a game based on 10 minutes of gameplay, but I can't blame you for it. If anything it's Free Radical's fault for releasing such a bland demo. Even though i'm a huge fan of Free Radical, i'll admit that the demo was underwhelming. I just have this blind faith that Free Radical, who has never released anything mediocre, will not start now.
Yes. Just like GTA4. Although IGN's review was pretty in-depth and they still gave the game a 10, but that's off topic.
I'm just saying that I could have written this review based off of what I know of Haze and what I've played. I really doubt it would be the first time someone tried to write a "review" off of a demo or preexisting knowledge of the game. It's about as in-depth as the sports ticker on ESPN.
That can be written without even playing the game. And when you read it, that's exactly what it sounds like.
There are a lot of people convinced merely by the name of the developer alone.
I know it's like being a sheep but it's really hard to believe that Free Radical would make a mediocre game. It's hard to believe because they never have. Call it hope, blind faith, whatever. I just don't think that they would release anything subpar.
Nevemind. Dumb question.
Of course you wouldn't want to include third party exclusives on a different console would you? Vampire Rain and Two Worlds ring a bell? And you definitely don't want to see the review Famitsu gave it. That would just make sense, and that's not like you.
Try waiting for a few more reviews before you make your sermon of damnation about a PS3 game. And get rid of the selective memory while you are at it.
A lot of people, myself included, only know about this game because of who's making it. Free Radical has a history of making great FPS, plain and simple.
It's the same reason I kept track of Mass Effect. If I learn about a game from a developer who has made great games before, then I will be excited to play their next project.
Aren't you excited about the next Infinity Ward game? Of course, there are always exceptions. Factor 5 for example.
Count me in when in comes to pure evil in GTA.
I have a lot of fun sniping people as they are driving by. The horn, busted glass, blood, and eventual crash are just too much fun.
In fact, that's how I was getting helicopters to begin with. I would go up to the pilots and blow their brains out, throw out the body, and take flight. Yes, good times indeed.
It's been said multiple times that whatever you see you can make, and whatever you imagine you can make. It's pretty limitless in possibility. Besides, having seen all of the creation options, how would you think you couldn't make something as simple as that?
There was a video a couple of months ago showing players building a simplified robot with moving arms and everything. There's also video of players making a tank.
COD4 campaign was awesome! It was short but there were some levels that were well thought out and very engaging.
On topic though, the video quality is complete crap and doesn't really do justice to the graphics of this game. I say this because the trailer on PSN makes for this game lays these videos to waste. And that was the old trailer.
With a beagle.
He got a lot of "fanboy" feedback before.
Seriously though, I despise that word. He categorizes people who correct him as "fanboys" purely because they inform him that his article is wrong. Is that what makes you a fanboy? Being in the know about the products that you own? Who doesn't get feedback when they write incorrect information about anything?
Should the people correcting his previous article be called a fanboy, or should he be called ...
That's what I would like more than anything else right now. And Rhapsody access would kick tail too.
Having bluetooth headsets included would also be a great idea. To me that sounds like a better idea than packaging it with a specific game.
Lastly, the browser does suck. It serves it's purpose for the most part, but it is in no way as good as it could be. I would love to see better flash support (it doesn't work for quite a few websites i've tried) and an all aro...
And the video quality was horrible. And haven't these videos already been posted here?
Are you taking it personally?
Anyway, I'm not getting it either. I never saw anything amazing from the trailer when it was shown a month or two ago. I certainly don't see any sort of technical achievements that make it look any better than anything else right now. In fact, I can truthfully say I've seen far better. It just looks so....strange. I don't even think that's the right word for it. I think mundane is a better fit.
I definitely see that happening, but I would rather save the videos to my hard drive rather than upload. That's just personal opinion though.
Is it an option to download Youtube videos to the PS3 yet? I've never tried but that would be awesome too.
He never ceases to amaze me.
On topic, I actually believe that Sony might actually charge for Home. Whether it's a flat sale fee or a monthly charge, I think it will happen. I know they are planning on making a quick buck off of microtransactions, but I don't think that will be enough to cut even.
That's actually okay with me though. As long as I can play online for free with the basic PSN, i'm just fine.
