The thing is, if LIVE went free, Microsoft games division would be shut down faster than a BSOD. It's the only positive thing (in Microsoft's shareholders eyes) going for the xbox at this point. Then Kotick would only be able to sell his games on ONE platform. Look at the big picture Kotick.Without LIVE xbox would fail. Without Microsoft, you would lose at least 50 % of your market. The ONLY reason they (Activision) haven't started charging YET for Call Of Duty online is because of Live. That's why. They cant charge only PSN users, because that would hurt their sales on that system and they cant charge Live users additional fees, because it would lower the sales of their games on that system as well. If live was free, Activision would charge 12 dollars a month for COD AND host the servers for both systems.

I laughed at that in the ARTICLE! The ps3 shuts itself off sooner at a lower temperature as not to damage it internally. I will take Sony designed hardware over Microsoft designed hardware any day.
