This game looks decent, has an alright combat system, a refreshing setting and a good development team. The problem is that it is launching a month before GOW3 which is, so far with all the videos that we have seen, topping it in all those departments. Darksiders and Bayonetta, though completely different games imo, didn't feel the pinch as greatly because they were launched in early to mid January. Another issue with Dante's Inferno was it regular comparison to GOW3, which it brought upon it...

is it just me or are u guys logging into n4g every 20 min to see some GOW3 news too...the new screens are just made of awesome!!!!...esp the armored cyclops'....absolutely magnificent!!!!!
PS3 owners will be playing GOW3. 360 owners won't want to buy a game "inspired" from the behemoth that is Gears. I guess they should start thinking about a Wii port;)
That just goes on to show how pretty they really are. What's more awe-invoking is that these screenshots are all in-game. I was among the few fortunate ones to receive the demo from SCEE, and I have played through the demo at least 12-13 times. Each time I have seen something new to admire.
However, these latest in-game screenshots look way way better than that E3 demo. Come March, I think everyone in the video game industry will be treated to the Avatar of the video game world ...
I didn't read through all the comments but for the first 7 or 8 and it came to my mind that people are forgetting one thing, the recession. For a game to sell such an amount in the first week itself when everyone in the world is cutting down on expenses is pretty good.

Every time someone reveals news on GOW3, everyone in the gaming community gets excited. Kinda reminds me of the first week of November when Gears 2 and Resistance 2 launched. Really awesome week from gamer's point of view. This will be even bigger.
I think games should be reviewed according to their genre. No point comparing the graphics of say an open world game to Gears of War 2 or Uncharted. Who's with me?

But the reviewers for whom the experience wasn't great should not give invalid reasons. So many have citied glitches, sub - par graphics and gameplay as their chief concerns. Personally, I thought(playing the demo) that the game was fun. So did most other people. Critics should keep in mind that this is an open world game. GTA4(the game to which every other open - world game is compared to) had its flaws and it got perfect scores. It had some glitches(all games do) and it didn't have the bes...
If Sony Santa Monica can't do it, it must be really really difficult....GOW3 is the best looking game so far on a console and it wasn't 1080p at rocksolid 60fps....good luck to the wardevil dev team!
