yeah, linux is starting to become more popular now... i've just bought a new computer and im running Linux native, with Windows through VMWare - only for certain apps (like games, and photoshop, and whatnot).
I'm a big Linux supporter... Mac is good for it's own thing, but not a fan. I dont like Windows since Vista, but since almost everything is developed for Windows, we still have to put up with it.
Like an above user said, Dell is gonna be rolling out Linux on...

if they think the 360 needs Blu-Ray, then they will put it in there. "oh wow, the 360 has blu-ray! they're defecting! omg man!"

I agree with pretty much all of that. Immersion and cohesiveness is the key. You cant get that by segregating online play... intertwine them, make them one in the same... do the little things. That's how it's gotta be- realistic, believable, and fun.
The only problem I have with all those points is that they're too good. I dont think devs can create games that do all those things with the current generation of hardware. It may be possible, but having an interactive environment ...

I love the Xbox 360, I'll never by a PS brand product, but MS doesnt seem to be doing to well w/ their QA and CS
I have tried calling them, but they seem to think I'm trying to con them out of free reimbursement points which I'm not.
Like I said, it's rarely a problem since my system stays right were it is most of the time... my problem is more with DRM and how it's hurting the media industry as a whole.
You're gonna have people who hack, steal, and cheat the system no matter how much protection you put on something... the least MS could do was make your games transferable ...

I'm on my 3rd Xbox 360 now, and thus, I have content spread across all 3 of the units. I've had the same HDD, but the content is tied to your CONSOLE, not just your HDD or XBL ACCOUNT.
I cannot play my arcade games, or even load some of the content that I've downloaded prior to the 360 I have now if I'm not signed in to Live. My internet does not go down often, but when it does, it really sucks for arcade games (even UNO), and the other in-game content (think all that Oblivion ...
normally, i would spend the cheap 800 pts on the maps, but Gears (since the 2 updates that "fixed" the game) has become less appealing. i've been spending my time in other games.
i only come back to it every once in awhile, since i run a gaming league, and we have Gears as one of our games.... so i can wait till they're free.
besides, CnC3 comes out in 9 days, and that'll consume most of my time anyway...
yeah, the rights to content over the 360 is really garbage imo. i've bought tons of arcade games, and extra content for my games, and they dont like to work, unless the profile that originally dl'd them is online on XBL.
it's crap b/c i'm on my 3rd 360, and sometimes (not often) the internet will be down for a few hours, and when I want to play, lets say, Oblivion, it wont load all the content... b/c some of it is on my 1st 360, some on the 2nd, and some on the 3rd... it's tota...

this game is looking pretty good- a good oblivion rivalry. the graphics are looking pretty good, but i hope the gameplay is good as well. graphics dont make a game good, gameplay does.
with all that said, this game seems to be progressing well.
oh, and in response to the blueish hue, i dont think it's gonna be that way in the final release- it could- but i dont think so as it looks a tad washed out
but a fairly good read. there were some interesting things about the gaming industry in there... but there is so much about gaming in general, that it should be a class in high schools/colleges, as theirs enough stuff to fill a quarter/semester.

I just played the latest installment of Dynasty Warriors... the first DW i've ever played... and it's interesting, different, and kinda addicting to say the least.
It's a nice break from Gears (which is pretty much dead for me), while I'm waiting on my next biggie to come out- CnC:3 Tiberium Wars!
IMO- this isn't really the best "image" of Mass Effect out there. It seems a bit old, outdated, and graphically lower quality than some others I've seen.
I really dont think it should've been approved, but I'm just a member, and my opinion counts for squat! What I really want to see is some in-game footage from their current build... or better yet- the game released in May!
