360 knock off? Come on, so much is owed to Nintendo when it comes to innovation in controllers. The N64 was the first controller to have an analogue stick for the thumb and the first rumble/vibration. And I'm sure the GameCube controller was the first to have shoulder pads that had varying degrees of pressure and a "click".
The modern controller is essentially an evolution of the NES controller. Btw, I love the 360 controller.

I think that's more down to the individual. I can play 3D games all day long, but some people get nauseous very quickly. However Nvidia's 3D vision has a slider that can toggle the amount of depth until it's most comfortable for you.

Which it turns out can be a lot of fun indeed!

I haven't encountered any of those issues (sever downtime due to maintenance aside), so if I was reviewing the game I'd give it a good score too.

No one can deny it's been a shaky launch, but this is a game that people will be playing for years and years. All these issues will eventually be made extinct, so I'm able to tolerate them for now because I know they aren't representative of the long term experience I'm going to have with the game.

I can honestly say I haven't experienced a single hiccup and neither have any of my mates.

When you're stuck in a rush hour traffic jam do you try to find someone or something to blame or do you just accept that the roads are at capacity?

I'm sure Blizzard have an immense number of servers to deal with the load, but even that can't stop a delay when millions of players are logging in simultaneously.

Mods and custom content perhaps. I wonder if that'll be available.

I'm not saying the normal gameplay won't translate well, meaning the mining, dungeon crawnling, and building simple shelters. I'm talking about the grand scale projects that take months and months to build.

Any PC can run Minecraft so there's really no reason to wait for a console release.

I'm a bit skeptical as to how well this will translate to a controller as well. I enjoy using my 360 controller for many types of games, but I just feel it'd be too slow and clunky when attempting to make large creations. I just can't see someone recreating Minas Tirith or Disney World in it's entirety without the speed and percision of a mouse.

So Max puts on a brightly coloured shirt and goes to Brazil, so what? Were you disappointed that AC3 is set during the American Revolution and not during the renaissance in Italy?

It's like some gamers just don't want to ever be suprised or embrace something new. I love that they're taking it to new and exciting places. They've done dark and grimey NYC in 2 games already, I want something fresh! It'll still be Max. It'll still have the film noir...

Because of Altair or do you mean you just lost interest after AC1? Because it's not like he was that great a character, pretty generic really.

Pocahontas and John Smith had a child, and now he's pissed!

Thanks are due then, I'll send you a cheque in the mail. Wouldn't want the devs to get all the credit!

I think you're confusing the speculation and assumptions of retailers and fans with the official release date.

Blizzard only say "when it's done" with regards to releases. The forthcoming announcement will confirm that it's done and the official release date will be solid.

I just followed your link and it's £45 for the normal edition and £60 for the collecters edition via Origin. That's just way beyond the normal pricing for new PC releases.

In case you don't know the currency conversions-

Normal Digital Edition = $70
Collectors Digital Edition = $93.5

And then a subscription fee after the first 30 days. Madness! By the way, I absolutely love the game and will be continuing my ...

It's not an odd statement, it was the first time I'd ever had to pay £45 for a PC game. Normally they are £30 on release. Yes they spent a huge amount developing the game, but they should intend to make up for that through monthly subscription fees. WoW, Rift, AoC, etc were £30 on launch.

It was too expensive to begin with, despite having an insane amount of content. Greedy EA.

Heard of the new Steam Works my friend? Bethesda and Valve have been working together to integrate a built in, official mod store and installer.

Come next patch, installing mods will be as easy as downloading an App in iTunes!

Come to think of it I've seen loads films/games/books similar to Star Wars and Star Trek. Think it's called..... Science Fiction, yeah that's it.

Server merges would only be a good idea if there was no chance players might return. When MoP comes out it's likely many will.

I'm loving SWTOR at the moment, but it's not the reason I cancelled my WOW sub- I've beaten the new content (on easy mode, admittedly, but that's enough for me), and now there is nothing new in Azeroth for me to do until the next xpac, which is many months away.
