I wish more people would focus on trying to find bugs in betas and not just treat it as a chance to play the game early.

several MMO's: EVE, Guild Wars 2, Tera, etc. (these games are all adding new gameplay ideas that bring fresh new things to the table)
Skyrim (do I really need to list the ways?)
Civilization V (graphics, control, depth of gameplay, there has still not been a particularly good rts on console when compared to PC)

making mirrors edge 2 doesn't support the best statement in this rant. I see where you are coming from about the same games coming out every year but another sequel is not the answer. Thankfully there are a good amount of new IP's coming in the near future that can hopefully break the stale pattern. Games like Dishonored, Last of us, Beyond, Matter, Watch Dogs, etc. All these game are bringing life back to the industry. I loved Mirrors Edge as well but not every game we enjoy needs ...

Oh how you in in for a good ride. just wait until you see the impact that you will have on the EVE universe with a few well placed, well timed shots.
Its never too late to start playing EVE. A 1 day old character can cause as much disruption and damage as a 5 year character. It may take a little more finesse but it can be done. just being the eyes on the other end of a stargate is enough to save countless lives or stage the ambush for just as many.
N4G has been ruined for a long time now. It's sad really :(
