I work for a cable company and during service calls I come a cross ALOT of these Vizios. Older Gen Vizio sucked as quality was poor. You pay for what you get. Now though they have really come up. Their quality is camparable to Sony, Samsung. But they do have their lows. Analog tuning is not as good as those two I just named. (poor in my opinion). I wouldn't recommend it for VCR or Basic cable. They do display very nice Digital and very nice HD signal. So anything from digital source is good....

Yes Consoles close the gap. WHY? Cuase they borrow graphics cards from PC makers. Remember 10 years ago you never saw that. But as always PC will offer more rez. I think total retail players of HD dvd are not even 500k. With over 1 million more and only doing double in Movie sales tells me this war is not over until someone Really Really wins the Retail War.

Box has 3 3.2ghz not 3.4ghz. Yes Cell itself has total of 9. 1 PPE core and 8 SPEs'. The SPEs' are not FULL PPE cores. Unlike the Xbox it has 3 PPE cores, and can hadle 6 threads. The box has 3 full cores, at 3.2ghz and is a RISC cpu. There are no Risc cpus' in the windows gaming of Direct X. The programming of lesser memory, going from full instruction sets to Risc, downsizing textures to fit the box is not the same. On the PC dual cores don't even come close to 3.2ghz stock. I hardly find myself buying movies. Since my first dvd player in 2000 up to this year I have maybe no more than 20 dvd movies. Most movies I watch only one or twice and thats it. Is that a xbox 1 or 360 that is freezing. From the sounds of it, its a xbox 1. Must be a Thompson (cheap as drive). You can buy a Phillips OEM xbox drive from ebay and problem will go away. My sons came with Phillips and never have issues. Even reads disc that are badly scratch. MY POS Thompson drive would crap out every other hour. I bought a Phillips one and walla never had a problem.

Well I played the NCAA 08 demo the other day and I liked it. The Cut scenes after they make a play or before they make a play I think is what runs at 60fps they are smooth. Their body movements is vastly improved. I even popped Madden 07 since its supposely a 30fps game.
