They are shutting themselves on half the market, not to mention that will not sell in Japan and half of Europe. Besides that, not pleasing PS3 owners will damage Valve's image on those markets.
Not a smart move, either they don't care how much they sell or they are just dumb. My bet is on the second.
Forgive me to say, but if you play it on small tv sets it might not matter, but in a 42 inch tv or more it will.

The PS3+GT5P bundle ended up not moving so many hardware. I guess people in europe are waiting for the PS3+GTA bundle. I am very curious to see how much PS3 that will sell (if indeed available across all europe).
It's just incredible how people can buy mediocre games. I can understand parents, but guys who are well informed about games. Wake up people, we already are on the "next gen". That graphics/physics is definitely "old gen" (just in high res)

This looks like mediocre PS2 graphics. They shoot themselves on the foot by releasing this crap!
Everyone with a 360 will eventually get a PS3... before or after their 360 breaks!
Next PS3 (120-160GB) will feature the 65nm reduction of the RSX. They might cut the price about $50/50€ shortly before GTA4 arrives. The 40GB will remain the entry level and will get the new RSX also.
45nm-cell PS3 will only come at the end of the year. We might see another $50/50€ cut by then and maybe, maybe a slimmer PS3.
This is the most probable scenario, but it might change depending on how agressive MS responds.
I am sure that by March or April (before GTA4) all regions will have a 120GB+ sku.
I never had such a big disappointment in my gaming life than when I bought killzone. It is really really crap. There are no miracles in life, if they have all, or part of the dev team that made the first one (after 4 years of development) doing the second, they will never make a good product. Never.
It's like a sports vocation, if you don't have the ADN (in this case expertise and talent) you will never be top place. There are no miracles! Graphics might look good, but overall...
Why 256??? Do they store player ID in a byte? If that's the case I think its kind of low... not very impressive for marketing!
