What he/she deducted it for or at least spoke on negative grounds about it on seemed a bit polar. I'm sure there wasn't an agenda but it seemed like one.
The game is good and some of the stuff he/she says is true but it's like he's grading it like it's supposed to be God of War or Devil May Cry when it's an Action RPG not just a RPG or just Action.
It doesn't matter the author is being as elitist as the "core" gamers he's sweeping into a box labeled elitist.
Both are ways to play and enjoy the game, isn't that fair enough?
One person did say some very interesting things though, the game mechanics themselves are flawed for smash, Melee's were fine, Smash was the essentials but Brawl threw it out of whack. I'm not sure if that was the intent or if this design is better, I just know it wasn't the items ...

Yes, PR is obvious here.
The fact that they stole fan made mods from other games for CoD1 maps and sold them at $60 wasn't enough to stop me from getting that game.
But entire rebirth and level again system was an obvious time sink.
Pachter would say, Nintendo is flushing the pipelines on it's heavy hitters to announce Wii HD and Zelda HD this E3.
Then when E3 comes a giant black crow flies into his gaping crevice of a mouth and lead to his eventual silence.
Do they normally leave out the release dates or the weeks since release of the games?

No one can be as... on second thought, after reading some of the comments I'll say he's just an idiot, perhaps Microsoft doesn't pay him and he is in fact just a huge fan and also has emotional ties to things HD.

It works better if things aren't classified for the machine to identify it and churn out more of it.

The HD Twins already raised the bar so high on the console front that any developer has to be in a company to license anything or even produce anything they think would have a large appeal, just because of the assets needed.
The Wii makes it easier to develop virtually and financially.
But if Nintendo did do that, PC gaming would probably make a rebound as customers that those games appealed to could get them from PC.

Some innovations deal with enhancing things, refining the values that something is representing.
Other innovations deal with presenting more options or other values.
At one point tech wasn't the point, at one point sound wasn't the value.
At one point people couldn't see the use of games on T.V.'s (home).

It's like arguing with someone over if god is real. The end result is always "well I believe he is real" or that "he is my god."
Since it's a belief the subject becomes an adjective, it impossible to make anything reasonably conflicting at that point because now their belief is a title.
Articles like this use the same tactic except bait people with a chicken and the egg type front.

Well whatever, but I don't get it, you could add any 3 FF's Life Time to Date sales and they wont add up to any of the 2d Mario's Life Time to Date sales.
A single FF title has never even sold 1/2 of what a 2d Mario has sold, even the recent one on the DS is nearing 20 million sold.

No one want's madden because madden act's like it's a continuation, if it acted like it was trying to beat madden before it each time they make a new one, then they wouldn't make one every year they would make one once they figure out how to one-up the last madden.
This thing beat the Wiimote the moment it was conceived.
I'll wait to see what Sony does with it, but they are horribly mistaken if they think consumers bought Wii's for just the Wiimote and that this will give them Wii like numbers with Blu-Ray and the power of HD and Cell proc.
Though those things are all very valuable it's clearly not as valuable as the Wii is and Wiimote doesn't act as a multiplier like they seem to be positioning move as.
