I feel like this game is the uncanny valley of physics and interactions that the gaming world has been trying to overcome with graphics. Yes it's a great looking game but because of that the limitations stand out more than a game that's generally poorer overall. The closer you get to total immersion the more the flaws stand out
The more you play the more you realise the controls work fine. You just have to get over the fact this game is far more grounded and the animations take some time to play out but eventually you realise it's how real people move not in normal computer game logic like people are used to
Seriously this game is amazing but some people expect the second coming of Christ. It may not appeal to everyone but if you want a cowboy simulator this is as close as it gets
At the end of the day this game will appeal to fully matured adults who may like the old western films. I can't see the younger generation connecting with this game quite as much due to the slower pace
Some good points. I think the title of the article could have been better suited to the content of the article because it's not a disappointing game it just emphasises an illusion of reality of choice that isn't quite there yet. I really liked the comparison with an animatronics show which it can feel like, however the things not in the game stand out more because of how realistic other elements of the game are.
Maybe in 10 years time these games will be more like W...
PT was good but still hyped up way too much. If this had been an indie game that was being sold for £20 it wouldn't have been mentioned a month after release. The fact it was a free demo that came out of the blue and it had a really difficult to decipher ending, and norman reedus at the heights of the walking dead craze it created a lot of attention in the gaming media.
Oh who cares? The game looks mint on ps4 pro anyway. Does it look better on xbox? Maybe. Would i rather have checkerboarding 4k but got of war and Spider-Man to play on the console I chose to buy? Yes I would.
It's becoming cool to hate on gta. It won't work
She kills far less people in this one yet it's getting accused of being silly. I think the reviews have it back to front, this is the most down to earth instalment of the three, and also the best because the raiding of tombs is exceptional. If they do the natla story next as a sort of reboot to the original it would be amazing.
Lost interest in this when it was confirmed there would be no VR
Also available for the PS4 which the review fails to mention once
Gamers are too used to combat heavy games these days. They gave the fans what they asked for more tombs more exploration less focus on combat and everyone moans. I guess it won't be long before every game is identical. I personally think this is the best one of the three. It's far from perfect but you crank the difficulty up and lose yourself on the jungle and the puzzles and it's the closest tomb raider to what tomb raider was originally.
Bugger off
What so you can buy a game for £50 play it for weeks and trade it in for £35. Yeah must be completely stupid to do that
So anyone without internet access gets half a game. Cool concept but..... no
I'm not understanding the like warm reception this game is getting. I think most kids these days need to shoot things where's this game is the closest to the originals in many a year. The puzzles are great, the graphics ace. If you like traditional tomb raider it's brilliant
And VR built from the ground up could mean this is something pretty special.
G-POLICE
I think the article makes a valid point.
I love the slow pace and the slow animations. It makes it feel more grounded than other games and it's a nice game to chill out to whilst playing.
