The author seems to be looking for a problem. Just don't spend CR on loot boxes or mods, and the problem goes away.

Besides the horrible writing, it is also wrong on most points.
At one point, you're not going to need more XP and the XP potion aspect becomes obsolete. So what if someone reaches the level cap before you? Has that person then won the game?
Health potions are already available in the game, so why someone would pay real money that, I don't know. I'd love to write more, but the article only mentioned these two thing...
