To the angry idiots.
The original Tomb Raider first launched on Sega Saturn in Europe on the 25th October 1996, it then launched in other markets & on other platforms 14th November 1996.
Sony signed a console exclusivity deal with Eidos keeping Tomb Raider away from Sega & Nintendo between 1997 & 2000.
So there you go. Stop moaning and play the game. It first appeared on a Sega console then Sony bought exclusivity for 3 yea...
But thats the thing MagicBeanz, there arent even many negative reviews anyway so what difference does it make?
Whether they are written by "trolls" or by people who geniunely arent that fussed by the game (they do exist) it doesnt affect anyone elses enjoyment of the game. I just cant understand why people get so angry about this stuff. Look at all the hate flack thrown at the IGN reviewer and that was over an 8.8 out of 10 (before she "coincidentally" upgraded i...
Very true.
The irony here is that its the hyper-sensitive fanboys that are the ones keeping that "negative" review in the public eye. There are tons & tons of positive reviews out there, the general concensus its a truly amazing game, but because fanboys cant concieve some people may not feel the same, they keep going on about it.
Its such a shame as its taking attention away from the more positive reviews
Surely cross network play is great for all gamers.
I mean okay, if you want to be a narrow minded console fanboy then then it might not interest you but it you've got a group of friends and you didnt all pick them same console (apparently people can have different tastes) then it would be brilliant.
Maybe some like Halo & some like Uncharted but they all love Call of Duty & now they can all play together.
Whats not to love about ...
I think we'll be okay Hades.
True, the X1 is way behind PS4 but its ahead of where both the 360 and PS3 were at this point in their life cycles and no one considers either of those a flop. The system is a success regardless, and games developers will continue to make games on it because it will make them lots & lots of money, which is their overall goal afterall.
Regarding this supposed war...its pointless.
Remember last gen when there was the...
Fail is the wrong word but I think the general idea is that, while the PS3 just about outsold the 360 globally, its failure is that it lost a huge amount of the maker share that it had created with the success of the PS2. The same way the XboxOne is seen as a failure even though its outselling the 360, its losing market share.
not to start anything but it has had bad reviews (kokatu, ign, gamesradar..) but there have also been some postive reveiws too like this one, dualshocker and PSnation. Just goes to show that eveyone has an opinion and that you really cant please everybody.
How can you talk about Microsoft "moneyhatting" to get 3rd party exclusives at the same Tim as bragging about Hell Blade being a Sony exclusive. If Hell Blade is PS4 exclusive do you think that Sony have not given some money over to Ninja Theory? How do you think the business side of exclusives work? Destiny's year long exclusive dlc, No Mans Sky, Rise of the Tomb Raider. The exclusivity of all these products was paid for.
As i've mentioned before, Sony did the exact same thing back in 1997. They bought the exclusive rights to Tomb Raider franchise even though the original was released on both PS1 and Sega Saturn.
It's okay to be annoyed but let's not pretend this is a new thing in the would of gaming. These sort of business practices have been around for years.
Didnt Sony buy the Tomb Raider exclusivity in 1997 so Tomb Raider 2 wouldnt come to the Sega Saturn? Yet here we are in 2014 Microsoft does the same thing but they are branded as the spawn of satan who are ruining gaming with their evil business practices.
Shhh XBisLIKEdeadANDstuff, you cant go around saying stuff like that! People wont like it.
Next you'll mention that the Move controller was inspired by the Wii-mote and the Kinect is a descendent of the Eye toy. I've also heard a rumor that the Xbox avatars were microsofts response to the sucess of Nintendo Mii's.....but keep that under your hat, I wouldn't want to get all those disagrees ;)
I can only assume Sony turned it down as they are in the process of releasing PS NOW.
To go from a company that didnt charge for online play last gen to now charging with PS+ and they are soon to ask customers to pay for PS NOW. Maybe they thought that to ask for people to pay out again for EA Access would have just seemed like too much too quickly. Obviously that only my opinion.
Saying that, I have seen some folks on here worrying about other publishers (like Ubisoft and Ac...
I really hope neither Sony or Microsoft were planning to use this trailer in there conferences. It would suck to be so close only to have it leak at the 11th Hour or (7th hour I guess).
As i dont have a Xbox One yet (hopefully will get one for my birthday next month) I was glad to see MS continued taking a leaf out of Sony's PS+ playbook and allow you to add the "games for gold" to your download list whether you have the console or not. Now when I do finally get one i will already have 2 - 4 games to play on it. So a huge thank you to MS and an even bigger thanks to Sony for coming up with the idea in the first place :)
Im still going with Microsoft doing some partnership with Sega, letting them be in charge of the Japanese launch of the console, releasing in September along with Shenmue 3! Dun dun duhh!! Lol
I wonder how many of those are the "kinect" specialists hired for Fantasia. Probably thinking, "with kinect out the box from June we probably will no longer be requiring your services for any future titles, sorry"
@matrixman92
Sunset Overdrive and Halo 5 will definitely be at E3 but may not get as much of the spotlight during the MS Conference as most would have originally thought (at least going by these early reveals anyway).
I dont remember much about the trolling last gen (though im sure there was plenty) but i do remember that every year from release of the PS3 console was supposedly "the year of Playstion".
well from June 9th it's weaker hardware for the same price
Maybe they are going for a '80's underdog movie' type message to the gamer;
"You can get unlockable weapons with unlimited ammo....by getting S ranks on the harder difficulty settings...and thusly proving you dont need unlimited ammo...you never did, you had the strength within you all along."
Ha ha. but in all seriousness its a shame most gamers wont get a chance to enjoy these extras. I used to love running through the Dreamcast v...
