not as relevant as it used to be. WIth IE8 they are now (for the first time) adhering to the standards... So that's good.
And what is wrong with developing Silverlight... Nothing! I don't hear people saying.. Oooh I hate google coz now they are making a browser.. Or ooh I hear google are gonna make an OS.. how terrible of them...

A few reasons why...
If Windows comes with no IE then teh average person won't know how to get on the net. Whilst knowing how to FTP and get it is nice and all.. the average person wouldn't know that!!
People want to buy a computer that works straight outta the box. Not.. ok here is the OS.. but you need to get hold of mediaplayer/ie/a keyboard...
IF no browsers come on windows then would people start charging to download them? It's possible. The market ...
What's this..? Blademask once again listing xbox titles??? Are you sure you don't secretly own an xbox because the amount you know about a system you have obvious distaste for is amazing...

I actually think the PS3 will in it's obviously long life cycle have better graphics than the xbox. By that point though I imagine the next xbox will be out.
But that isn't the point is it. The question is has it reached its limit. Not does the PS3 have better graphics.
Also.. for the record I haven't enjoyed a game yet because it has good graphics. So the age old arguement of graphics aren't as important as gameplay will always ring true.

It matters to people who live and die by a console. Which is very strange. I prefer the 360. I have no idea why. I just like the games on it. I would like to see another console from MS - but won't cry if they don't bother. I will just buy the next PS or whatever else is out.

Whilst I understand your point you are also highlighting the short fall in the belief that the bigger site opions hold higher value to the everyday person. I can see why the corps would perfer for the bigger sites to give better reviews because theyget more its and therefore more exposure - but it doesn't mean they are right.

That is irrelevant. No matter who the web site is, it's still a person reviewing it like any other. The fact that 3 people out of 4 so far like it means exactly that! Do your videos work?? I got all my music streaming but no video. The codecs seem to have gone...
I have it installed... It works fine other than what is previously mentioned. No xbox live... And it won't play AVIs which is more of a pain. It wants to go online to get teh required codecs.. but obviously you can't.
It is far quieter when you install a game to the HD. Fifa is far better now!
Two weeks and it will reconnect to live I guess and all will be well..

In fairness... PS3 fan boys as you call them don't NEED to know anything. Surely it is for xbox fans to be aware of.
I dont care if a PS3 is quiet or loud... and I wish they didn't care about the xbox.

I only have an xbox 360.... but if game proves to look like this in real time and gameplay is good then i would actually buy a PS3 for this game alone.
It honestly is far and away some of the best graphics I have ever seen...

This argument is silly. MS have devloped some software that explores your computer and the internet.. So what. You can't delete it because it is part of windows.. ok... they have developed some code that does two things...
So if you do uninstall explorer. yes the links are gone. So to the average user it is gone. Can they sleep happily at night now... The rest won't go because it is the backbone of windows! Big deal.
